Penny - thanks for posting the update on the poisoned eagles. Glad 4 made it. I thought all were going to perish. Peetie - hope your kitty can come home! Lala - great hummer shots! Also love the 75th anniversary party pictures. The chimp - what a horrible incident. That chimp mauled the woman's best friend. The 911 tapes were really hard to listen to. Such a shame. Harpo - we had snow, and then rain also! |

To whom it may concern: We are writing you in regards to our 9 1/2 year old long haired German Shepherd. We have to move on March 1st and unfortunately we are not allowed to take Duke with us. We would like your help to find him a good and loving home. Duke is up to date on all of his vaccinations, he's neutered and in good health. He currently lives in a kennel in our back yard and has access to heat in the winter and fans in the summer. He's leashed trained and loves to go for walks and especially likes car rides. Duke has never shown any kind of aggression towards humans or other animals. He likes to be hugged and given back scratches. In return you will receive lots of big wet kisses. He has occasionally stayed inside of our home and has never left us messes, so he seems to know that outside is the potty. Duke's previous owner had him AKC registered - that was something we did not keep current. I don't know if he can be registered again or not but I do have his previous certificate dated July 1999. We also have his pedigree charts, a copy of his mother's dysplasia registry and vet documentation from the time he was born. We know that your rescue specializes in German Shepherds and matching them with GSD lovers so that is why we have chosen to ask for your help. We want to be assured that he is going to find a good home with people who love him as much as we do and trust me, that's alot. This is very hard for us but we don't have another choice. We have contacted some other GSD Rescues and they have told us to try other GSD rescues within our driving distance. They are currently full and can only take on the most extreme cases right now. If you would like or need pictures, please let me know and I will send you a few. I really don't want to take him to the SPCA for fear of what will happen. All we want is to find him a good home. We appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Mike and Chris Anderson 570 Jug Rd. York, PA 17404 PH: 717-292-6587 |

Thanks for confirming that for everyone Paula Here is what DeeJay posted on the NBG forum after she had sent in two videos for confirmation from the Wildlife Biologist at WCV... "Thank you for your video. I have been trying all day to confirm a 3rd egg. There was a comment yesterday on the Forum about a 3rd egg, but I did not see it yesterday. I thought I saw it at 6:56 this morning and again about noon, but I was not certain. I did see a 3rd egg at 1:27 this afternoon. Your video confirms that she laid the egg on 2/17 at 12:08-12:12am. Reese" All the more amazing that she laid another one so soon after practically collapsing after her labour producing the 2nd egg Now that she is on a roll, do you think she could lay another one???

NBG 3rd egg came on the 4th day after the 2nd egg too, as did NCTC. Was Caltrans on the 4th day as well? I checked the site...same for them! |

Since it is currently sunny and not ing in Pasadena, we are off to stock up the larder before DS arrives on Friday. First request for dinner was Eggplant Parmesan as his plane will land at 7:30pm and he will most likely be starving. BBL Peeps

Thank you for welcoming me to the forum. I've been watching the cams for almost a year. My favorite nest is Pelican Harbor. I enjoy the pictures of the panda and the hummingbirds too! |

I hear you Peetie. This is one of the nights when I hope he is inside. It's a miserable night with rain and snow. When we were out earlier it was starting to freeze. So to our friends to our North this is probably coming your way. Be prepared. |
