More about the little boy who drowned on Sunday :'( He was a student of the catholic school we work closely with as my girls go to St. _____ here in Burbank. He was on the prayer request list on Tuesday when we resumed school.
Very sad. I was told that his parents are in shock and disbelief and are struggling tremendously. they are in my thoughts!

THANK You PAT! this is exactly what I was trying to say yesterday when we had some complainers about the NO thread. I appreciate you Pat and I thank you very much sweet lady!

Janna, it wasn't people complaining, just making some suggestions, which people are allowed to do on the forum. Please think about how you word things when you're posting, ok? Thanks! :D

Topa, that little camping guy toasting the marshmallow needs one more thing - holding up the stick and showing a piece of charcoal where the marshmallow was!!! I hate when that happens - ruins a perfectly good marshmallow and delays an even better s'more!!

The recent posting on NOBs conversation brought back memories of when we were only one page and it was decided that we separate chat from NOBs.
I was against two separate forums, now I love each forum, plus all the other additional forums. I was outspoken about the change, and now I've done a complete reverse.

There is no way we could have chat and NOBs all in one forum. Can you imagine what the IWS crew was having to go through to get to an eagle before. :o

Sometimes we are just throwing out ideas, hoping someone can use the information to make the forum better.

A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children started discussing the dog's duties. 'They use him to keep crowds back,' said one child. 'No,' said another, 'he's just for good luck.' A third child brought the argument to a close. 'They use the dogs,' she said firmly, 'to find the fire hydrants...

rofl rofl rofl Good on Jill!!! I'm sure that's correct too!!

Cricket :'( :'( :'( They told me today they have to pull my eye tooth and they can not do a bridge. They did say i could do an implant but jeesh 3.000!!! yikers. i don't understand why they can't take the crown off the one tooth next to it to stabilize it.

missouri just rescued 89 yorkshire's. That looked so gross. The matting cut off the circulation in their bones...OMG how awful. They are on OPRAH now and are so adorable. They are willing to ship them out if someone wants one. They are quivering so bad. They have never been held even. Their cages were gross. HOW CRUEL!!!

I want to camp and >>: i don't care where as long as it doesn't cost $100 a night.
Patti I miss my Weber and doing Turkey in it. It does that the best of anything. Totally beats roasting it anyday

My gal pals and I camp often at El Capitan, there's a great trail on the beach that leads to Refugio Beach/Campground. A great walk! Also, the campsites in the '70's' have the best ocean views around! The little cabins are a bit pricey, a friend from High School's family used to run it, and even with the discount, it was a lot more than good ol' campin'. The cabins are between $135 to $285 per night. eeekkkk. :o

eeeek!! is right! I have a great 6 "man" tent that's perfect for 3 people :P and it's already paid for! Also has a great vestibule for stashing stuff. Sad to say...I have to have a reallllllly good mattress now in my old age. I used to just sleep right on the ground with no problem. No more of that!

SANDIE do you have any teeth behind the Eye Tooth aka Canine? If so ask why they can't do a bridge. Is there a loss of Bone Support, is the tooth loose, if you don't like his answer get a second opinion. $3,000.00 for a completed Implant in the normal range even here on the East Coast. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

I was against splitting the original format, too. But it really has worked out much better this way. Believe me....we have thoroughly discussed different options of what we could do to help Nest Obs not be so many pages and the different pros and cons and have not come up with any great solutions yet that works for the folks doing screen captures. Keeping chitchat to a minimum there helps keep down the number of posts....just the facts ma'am!

That was a might fine raven nest! Maybe the same one I've seen. I look for it every time I'm on the PCH HWY.

Sandie: somebody from my Freecycle group JUST sent me an email regarding a dental plan at La Cumbre Dental that she says is realllly reasonable and also pays for two cleanings per year with a $5 copay. When I'm up there next week, I'm going to swing by and pickup the brochure. I'll let you know if it might be helpful to you....or you could call them??? I'm not sure if it's a plan just with that dental group or if it's a type of insurance. She says it costs less than one cleaning per year costs.

I saw absolutely nothing posted last night that I would consider "complaining".

Most of the comments were from long time loyal forum members who have been here from the beginning.

The comments were simply a discussion as to whether there might be a way to improve NO.

We all appreciate Pat and Jann and I personally admire all the work they do on Nest Observations. I am glad they were able to join the discussion and explain their reasoning rather than reacting emotionally.
