And so it began ....

Just a  few thoughts ... from your Nestorian.

NOBs Cruzer's are truly doing a beautiful job to keep the Channel Islands Eagles Forum
the most extraordinary eagle forum.

Topa: A lot less work to NOT bbq for sure....the offer still stands if things change.  Just give me a little warning so I can have my slave son clean it up first.  I know you'll all be well fed no matter what you do.

Tri-tip sandwiches does sound good. You have a slave son..

Maybe when our Cruzer events go for an entire weekend , we'll revisit the barbeque idea.

Weekend...great idea! Camping at the lake? I'd love that...but not when it's HOT.

remember when I posted this photo and cam links several days ago so that everyone knows what the current feeds are for eagle nest watching:

Good morning all.

Can't find the links for the eagle cams - click on Dr. Sharpe's photo to get to all the current links ...
.

psst - he's looking for eagles in the photo - not cameras ---- :P

well the Nature Conservancy contacted me today and wanted to know if they could use my/gary's photo of Peter which was taken on our 2007 tour. Here's where they used it today:

http://www.nature.org/wherewework/northame...lgehistory.html

(my photo credit is at the bottom of the page)

so goes to show - you never know who is reading which posts in which threads! rofl

(I also had gary talking to Dr. Sharpe but they said no thanks :( rofl

Whispy: my dad worked on Granby Dam. It was his first job out of college as a civil engineer. They lived in a government camp/cabins while they were building it which I believe is now all under water. My mom still gets misty eyed talking about those days of living there. They were a tight knit group living there and I think the best of times for the young marrieds starting families. I know they even had their own basketball team....for fun, of course...and my dad and a neighbor bought a fishing boat together. Their backyard was the lake and he used to often fish after work every day. Ahhhh....the good life of the post-war era...truly a beautiful part of Colorado. I am envious of them living in the Rockies...I wasn't born until they moved to the next job in western Kansas. But we did often go back and visit family friends in Colorado.

Jann, thank you, your directions worked so that I could find the "Eagle Eye" thread.

Peppermint, I'm sure you know what a good son you have there.
