Thanks, Bea! I'll check up on everyone and try to keep in touch. Young Stephen Colbert Junior was spotted on campus at UCSB but I couldn't find him when I went to look. Now it looks like he's back on Santa Cruz Island. Quite the traveler. It will be fun to see if he stays..... Robin |

Eagle pics. These 2 were up the road from Wabasha. This is a still photo of them. ![]() Video. There were other people there watching them also. Seems to be a favorite pastime up there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QsHR1wUITs |

Nest pics This nest is just a quarter mile from our cabin. Won't be able to get pics once the leaves fill in. The adults sit in the treeline that juts out from their nest area into the river. When the eaglet fledges it sits in the trees also. This nest is huge. ![]()

New nest in Stockholm, WI. It's just on the edge of town and right next to a park.![]() These are the eagles sitting nearby. You can sort of see them in the above pic. ![]() ![]() There isn't much blocking the view of this nest so I'm hoping to be able to watch the eaglet grown on this next also. |

Nap was a waste of time. Could not sleep. Still dizzy. George try the Tylenol APF in between the Dilaudid for pain relief. That worked for me. Keep leg elevated on a pillow when sitting or laying down. That will help with throbbing. Going down to the kitchen now. Be back later. |

Oh I do hope he stays around. I wonder if Colbert knows he's home? I signed up at the Colbert Forum ages ago, but I don't even know if he would get the message if we were to post something there. |

LbtheScot/Linda asked me to share these with some Eagleholics ... wonder who she could have meant! I know they have been posted on Chat before ... but some things are worth repeating ... especially if it has to do with Eagles! ... Right? " Now I have my answer to the question about what do the eagles eat when the lakes are frozen and fish are not available. Whatever they can capture. Incredible photos." Eagle almost gets a swan ... These photos were taken recently by myself .. Tom Carver. I live on Lakelse Lake (just outside of Terrace, B.C.) I also feed the swans on the lake all the time ... Eagles are very common in this area These are amazing photos! Enjoy!! .......Swan and Eagle pictures ![]() What a beautiful bird - so graceful and majestic. .........................Here comes the Eagle! ![]() .............You can see the feathers from the swan flying here. ![]() This one is so amazing to see the actual eagle wing span beside the swan. The poor swan must be scared to death. It is attempting to actually escape death in the air! ![]() .........The eagle is loosing his grip on the swan in this picture. ![]() ..........Now the eagle has just lost his grip on the swan completely. ![]() ............... At this point the swan starts falling straight down. ![]() The swan falls into the water below - swims away and the eagle just looks on at his 'lost' prey. I am amazed at these pictures because I have NEVER seen an eagle attack or tackle something so big in mid-air before. |
