Marie, I find myself lurking more and more just trying to keep up with events. I am waiting for DH to get ready. We will be going over to hotel where DS is staying. The other night, a little bitsy chihuahua somehow slipped away from his family while they were outside. Had a leash on. DS and many others searched the hotel property and adjacent blocks looking for this little 4 month old dog. No luck. Wind was howling that night. The next morning, a neighbor, walking his dogs wondered why they were paying so much attention to a covered ride-on lawn mower. He finally got down to look under, and you guessed it, there was the little dog!!! Out of the wind, hunkered down.We are going over to the hotel. They are throwing a "thank you party" for everyone who helped search. We are invited! Happy ending! |

Good morning all - and a nesting seasons greeting! Hello again fellow eagleholics! I've been very busy - but not without my thoughts of the eagles and all of you(us) who watch. I have some art projects with eagle themes which can attest to my sentiments. I am looking forward to a prosperous New Year for the eagles. As for myself, eagle watching has commenced. I haven't participated in posting nest observations, mainly because what I see usually gets posted before I can do so. However, if there is a time frame where there seems to be a need for coverage, I hope that you experienced watchers could let me know and I'd be glad to participate. I did see Cumbrian's note about the parameters of what kinds of observations to note, etc. I've pretty much dedicated myself to the PH nest since I've had trouble with Neokast in the past. Though I haven't tuned in for a while, I switched on PH this morning and within the first five minutes there they (10/26) were in their full glory as if by command performance - Great captures Harpo! He was back with a fishy gift I am sure to impress her. I am in tears with excitement! It should be a wonderful nesting season. I haven't had time to catch up on everything, but I see that we already have this season's first eggs! I think the favorable weather this winter is a good omen as well.
