George, Sorry to hear you were hit by a car. Was the surgery you had recently a result of that accident? |

That 6000.00 is the name of the game when seeking long telephoto zoom lenses. I know somebody who rushes out to buy the latest longest fanciest canon L lenses as soon as they are out. The odd part ive never seen shots from them of any quality. This person's photo would show along with the definition in the dictionary for "conspicuous Consumption". At least Goose can shoot and would actually use such a lens. I am a cameraholic who collects classic leica rangefinders. However, I only buy an item if i know what i will use it for. Never for the sake of showing off expensive lenses i never use like the person above. I still shoot cameras that are over 70 years old. |

You didn't miss anything, Deb. I was up late finishing up NW & moderator stuff, so I slept in a little this morning.....only to have to start right in on PH videos....not that I mind. I do it because I want to, but it does keep me busy. Anywyas.....I loved the show last night. I'd never heard of him (John Gabriel), but he was very talented. He's not quite as flamboyant as some of the illusionists I've seen on TV, but he's still young, so I'm sure that'll come. He's definitely got the talent.

Here's another shot from two weeks ago at Susquehannock State Park. I can't wait to go back and see chicks on this nest in about three weeks. As you can see we are not able to get very close to the nest. Canoe would probably be the best way. George you may want to consider traveling to Susquehannock State Park to see eagles instead of Valley Forge to see hawks. But actually both are nice day trips. ![]() http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/par...quehannock.aspx |

Well, just when you think you've seen it all something spectacular shows up !!! Paula, what is the story behind that awesome hand tooled Eagle saddle? That had to be a total labour of love because the hours involved in carving that one must have been incredible.
