Good Morning everyone. I so enjoy everyone's photos and thought I would share some of mine. These are all from recent visits to the Coronado Butterfly Preserve in Santa Barbara. Unfortunately, I don't have any good shots of the Monarchs. They all left this week, so I won't have another chance to photograph them until next fall. Cool pictures Jo, thanks for posting them!! I especially like the 3rd one with the mushrooms (the bigger ones). They almost look like the kind we used to collect in Germany and eat. Sorry you missed the monarchs. I got to see them one year up in the Big Sur area. I have never ever seen so many butterfly's in one spot before. It was just beautiful. Edit: I snagged a couple of pictures of the mushrooms we used to find in the woods and collect, and then our mom would cook them for us. Many other types of mushrooms too. It was so much fun! ![]()

Nice shots !! Makes me want to return to the mushroom festival they hold down in Kennet Square, pa next september, Apparantly they call themselves the mushroom capital of the usa because of the climate and also the location of the town to the major north east cities of NY,Philly, Bmore and DC Sorry to that i was MIA most of yesterday. I think i got some nasty 24hour bug with severe chills and gastric discharges. But as of now i think i am over it ![]() Love the color in those nifty mushroom shots!! I just had to pull this one from my archives to share. I have a warped habbit of taking a camera with me when i go to such places as home depot or the local produce/farmer's markets because of the interesting plants and produce they have. If something catches my eye, ill shoot it ![]() |

just a wing up for blackwater eagle cam viewers. This am the camera was showing yesterdays date. Video was brightly lit when it should be barely sunrise on te eastern shore. Site said there were software technical issues that they would work on today. So I hope it is corrected and those of us dont suffer "Blackwater Withdrawl symptoms" for too long |
