Good morning. Harpo, yesterday you were posting and checking the Falcon cam . Here's the link to the Maine Falcon cam if you need a falcon fix. Seems the two have been at home early mornings, getting ready to nest I imagine: http://www.briloon.org/watching-wildlife/peregrine-cam.php I know it's busy at our eagle nests but in case anyone wants a little break to check out the falcon. Enjoy!! Oh yes, the Maine Eaglecam 1 nest/tree looks like it has sustained some damage from the recent snow storm. I'm hoping that the nest hasn't been damaged to badly.

I was so angry and so worried, I wrote an e-mail to them at Sutton Centre Oklahoma with photos. I know the nest is probably well monitored but I really got scared when Mom was totally covered with the garbage bag. What happens when the chicks are born? ![]()

i think plastic bags are common building materials for many different species of bird's nests. Ive seen small pieces used in robbin and cardinal nests here. Maybe the use of a plastic bag serves the same way pieces of vine or grass to hold things together?? |

I was not going to show off my new hardware but since harpo showed the nice hook for her finger, here is the added metal jewelry for my thigh just above the knee on the outside of my leg. It is amazingly not as gruesome a sight as i thought it would be and not that long of an incison. I am amazed how such a small slice can cause so much pain however. But then, ive never had my abdomen sliced open so whada i know ![]() I hope ive edited this small enough the first attempt was too large and i dont want to gross anyone out. This is now the fourth time ive reduced it in photobucket and the first three times i saw no change as to how it appeared here |

I think the trash bag could have served as insulation in th nest, but I can also see where it could have been dangerous too for the Eaglets when they come.. |
