Peetie Well at least now they know what they're dealing with and give him the proper meds It stinks that it will take a little longer..... but the payoff will be worth it when you do finally bring him home How was Alex's first night with you?? I hope he behaved himself

And here's the rest of the story... Bald eagle egg lost with dismantling of nest Birds' movements had become hazard to Martin State Airport operations By Frank D. Roylance | frank.roylance@baltsun.com 5:23 PM EST, February 24, 2009 A single bald eagle egg was lost today when a federal biologist dismantled a nest close to the runway at Glenn L. Martin State Airport in Middle River. The eagles' movements had become a hazard to aircraft operations. Fish and Wildlife Service biologist Craig Koppie scaled the 80-foot oak but said he could not get close enough to see the egg until the nest fell. The shell will be tested for thickness and contaminants. The birds are expected to move quickly to another nest site and lay more eggs. "I'm more at ease knowing this pair will be away from the runway," he said. We're all pretty pissed off over here in Maryland... |
