I wonder why someone, like IWS, doesn't just offer to take the egg & incubate it?

:}^ everyone ...

We are digging out from under about 12 inches of snow that fell during the day yesterday ... I was too busy in NW to notice :o .. and last night!

Prefer the rain ... don't have to shovel that!

Welcome to all the new members ....

:Hugs: to all that need them.

It's getting busy at the nests ... hope you keep checking in the AEATT threads ... if you are short of time ... to play catch up.

Pat, ditch the shovel and get a flame thrower rofl rofl

Craig Koppie should have taken down the nest last fall....he knows better....they had to have known there was an eagle incubating in the nest....these facts are what really piss me off.

They tried trimming the branches back that the eagles used....and it did force them from the nest to their back up nest last year...so they should have taken the nest down this past fall, when the eagles weren't refurbishing yet.

And now they are going to take down the tree too, just to make sure.

And I guess they didn't feel the eggs were worth saving...or even fostering to a zoo eagle....

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful puppy Johnny is!!! Lizzie is one lucky little girl. :D

Ian.. Nice camera!!! :)^ You'll have lots of fun with that.

Sharon.. So nice to see you back posting last night. I've been wondering how you're doing. How's our sweet Lexi girl?

Pat.. I hear ya! We had over 24 inches Sunday night. Lots of damage and no power for 2 days. I am so ready for Spring.

OK... I just finally got to go over to read this weeks IWS updates and I'm confused about the last part of the Catalina update that Dr. Sharpe posted...
Is this a completely different Seal Rocks pair because one has blue bling.

ETA... Oops, just re-read the update and I guess he was still talking about the MR pair.

Eggs actly !!!! Paula You hit the nail on the head. Grrrrrrr

Nobody else is even allowed to own an eagle feather or touch a bird without permission and yet this can happen when the wildlife biologists do know better. :(

Good point also Jill

Anyone else doing this would have had a huge fine and/or jail time :o

A neat eagle that hangs on the wall called "Freedoms Pride Eagle" on the skymall site. I saw this in the airlines magazine & have been meaning to look it up online & finally did today. A little pricey, but neat! :D

The last pic is of the Middle Ranch pair....he was stating that maybe they were thinking about building a nest where the SR pair previously had a nest.

Thanks Paula... I had just re-read it again and figured that out. Duh!
I'm still hoping that SR pair are going to use their old nest. Robert/R.E.S. would be so heartbroken. They are his faves I do believe. Wonder where he is by the way...

SR pair have apparently moved to a new nest site not yet found by Peter/Steffani but they are looking ...... oh where are you???

I agree Paula - if they knew this was an issue, then discourage the eagles long before - not now!

As to the egg - once it's been laid the window is very narrow so if no organization knew or was available - it's lost! How sad.........

SNOW - dd some folks here say SNOW! we have sun and temps climbing a bit although a storm is heading this way but I don't think snow is part of it - phooey!
be safe all (and I like the flame thrower thing but then you'll have huge flooding) LOL

Some of our Cruzer friends may not realize that the nests have eggs in them - if you haven't seen someone here in a while - send them an EM !

you can find their listing in the Members section (click on the button at the top right of the page) - search for their name and then send them a Message!

I'm sure they'd be pleasantly surprised to hear from a fellow Cruzer and to know the nests are busy and will be getting busier! :Hugs:

MARIE Sweet Pup and a beautiful Daughter. You will love this breed. They are wonderful. Keep you nice and warm at night too with all that fur. One was being shown in the Obedience Ring last year and every time it was finished it flopped down covering my feet and legs. It was better then my woolen blanket I took!

I am so upset about the loss of the tree and the egg. As stated earlier this should have been done last year! :'( :'( :'( :'(
