I wondered what was on his wing - I thought a year or so ago I saw an article about a vulture study - they have a cam set up on a scale and when they come to eat they can weigh and observe .... hmmmm

edit I know our first trip - every time we saw one of the vultures we were sure it was an eagle - :bld: and newbie! :blsh: rofl

Deb, I know they have a feeding station for the California Condors in the Ventana Wilderness, Big Sur. Our Condors are fancy pants vultures. rofl

Why does a vulture have a wingbling? Are they endangered somewhere or are they just studying them for some reason? Seems like we have tons of them here....but perhaps not everywhere?

Maybe just to study their habits and their territory... should be more visable with a number...

Wow Harpo, that was interesting.. I put the site in my favorites... those vultures have colored tags... I should keep my binnoculars in the car instead of the house, I would have a better look...

yeah wouldn't want Mr. osprey grabbing hold of me

I have PH open and my parakeets are talking back to the birds they hear on the computer  rofl

Deb, that's so funny. My cockatiels hear the birds on the PH cam and go crazy, they love it. The ironic thing is I have a few of the audubon birds, that have real bird calls, one an eagle (of course), a California quail, and a meadowlark. They hiss at everything except the eagle, they make cute little noises when they hear the eagle. Too dang cute! I bet your little parakeets crack you up! They're so cute, I had them when I was kid and just loved them.
