Since I am new to posting, not new to the Forum, I'm going to try this. Good morning everyone.

Were you all on the edge of your seats yesterday afternoon? How egg-citing! Two at once, so to speak. I hope that and got to watch it live like a lot of us.

I can see that my title isn't complete, since I don't have the day in there, but I'm sure the moderators will fix it when they see it. I wanted to give it a try, and at least I was able to start it. And since the last six posts have been mine, I'm off for the night (it is still dark out, even if it is already Sunday). Catch you later.

BLACKWATER UPDATE.............. Nest Update 03/01/09: The weather forecast is predicting a major snowstorm later today and into Monday. We haven't seen any sign of hatching yet, but we'll have to rely on the skills of our parents to deal with the bad weather coming our way. PLEASE KEEP FOR OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

Morning! All was quiet on the nests last night so I decided to go out. I got home to find out that eggs were laid at both PH and WE and minutes a part at that!!! It was so nice to watch the videos this morning. Carole.. It was me that posted about the Decorah nest. The cam was down yesterday everytime I checked but I will try to keep you all updated here. Really getting to that worried phase about our Maine eagles again this year. I still wonder if they have a second nest in the area.

Lori - Thanks. I did post a question to you the other day. Decorah now has a new camera feed and wants you to download an Axis media control but since I am on the laptop, don't want to take a chance. I would really appreciate your updates on this nest.

Good morning eagle lovers. We didn’t get home last night until 9:30 east coast time and we were too tired to post pictures. That was 15 hours and 475 miles in pursuit of eagle watching but it was worth it. All three eagle nests were still incubating as far as we could tell. The weather didn’t cooperate. It was windy, cold and cloudy but we persisted. It wasn’t a good day for taking pictures but here’s a few from the day. We did travel to Blackwater Wildlife Refuge but part of the wildlife trail was closed due to construction on the first part of the trail and we were not able to get close to the eagle nest you are watching on the cam. It was our first trip there and we will definitely be returning on a better day. Maybe even March 14th for the 9th Annual Eagle Festival. Could be a road trip for some other cruzers. http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/festival.html ![]() ![]()

These pictures of the blue heron and the eagle were taken by DH at the end of the day as it was beginning to sleet and we still had 200 miles to drive home. We were lucky though as the roads remained dry all the way home. ![]() ![]()
