Phalks, thank you for sharing your descriptive and exciting report with us! What a wonderful experience for you and your husband. Since K-70 has been spotted on Catalina recently, it is likely the juvenile you saw was he.

Loved all those great pictures the Cachuma 4 took today. Juvenile eagle looks spectacular with it's slightly disheveled wing feathers...I looked very closely to see if there was a band on either leg but nada. :<::
The osprey taking off from its perch was such a beauty...what long sharp talons :o

Awww the deer resting and the Cruzrs in the boat with their beanies were adorable too. :D

That island shot with the green green grass and trees above the cliff edges was also stunning Sara
. What a perfect day for a mini cruise, thanks for taking us all along with you. Just one question...what was for lunch ? :P

Chris C a Cruzer in chat who does not post much, lost her sweet baby bird today when the dog got her and she was very upset today.  This happened after she went to a funeral. I am so sorry my friend. :(

Okay, I'll bite Janna. How was the dog able to kill the bird while Chris was at the funeral???? That is very sad for sure. Was the bird out of its cage? or did the dog climb up to where it was somehow?

By the way, Deb I did see that incident on the Bird documentary today where they were dive poop bombing the raven who came to steal their chicks. His gagging and shaking his head around with his tongue lolling around in every direction after he swallowed a load was so funny rofl rofl rofl Don't know how the photographer even managed to be there to catch it :)^
