My sister just called to tell me they have a lot of snow there in Columbus. She put the three Pekingese out *Sahara (mother), *Brutis (son) and Caylie (youngest dughter), and two of them got *lost in the snow. The third Caylie was hopping through it. I'm sure our dear German Shepherd Sweet N Sassy also enjoys it, although she can't go out with the other girls unless she is put in an area that's sectioned off.

JANNA sent you a P.M.

Oh George I too suffer from Migraine headaches so I feel for you on that one! They are really bad sometimes. Did you go to the show with Cricket yet? Last night I attended an Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony given by our Ethiopan friends and we had a blast. There were about 25 of us and what a party it was. I will post pics later! :clk:

Flower show trip is this wendesday. Which i think will be the least mobbed day to visit. This show gets alot of chartered bus groups from all over the US every year. My logic, warped or not, surmises that any group from out of the philly area would not likely come in the middle of the week. With perhaps family concerns and work issues it would be more likley a group would prefer to come over the weekend or perhaps the first monday or the friday before the show closes.

If cricket and i manage to get there early enough too we should be inside too before any busses that do arrive for the show get there.

From a photographer's perspective the less busy days early are less difficult to shoot than weekend or the after work ends hours that the show is open. It can be very frustrating trying to get "That shot" if you have to shoot inbetween people

bloom shots to follow thursday if all goes well :clk: :clk:

So glad I got my car detailed yesterday. Poor George won't know which is mine with all of the salt I'll get all over it driving to pick him up. I told him to look for a clean car (NOT). It's going up to 40 Wed. so there will be a lot of melt down and splashing. Oh well good thing I bought a book of Coupons, because I can get it done again Saturday to get the salt off. It can ruin a paint job.

I told my sister I was going to The Flower Show, and she told me I'll enjoy that. I don't think there is a person around who loves flowers more then I do. Guess I'm like my Paternal Grandmother who when she passed on, the Funeral home had so many flowers inside they had to put some out on the sidewalk, and up to the end of the block!

so ES can study for that certification test! he's working on LEEDS - green building design certification - test the day before we head to CA! :o :P

Harpo: I have a contractor client that just took that test before Christmas for Green Inspection...he's now certified to inspect Green buildings that are newly built. He was really sweating the results...said there was a LOT to look at and analyze in a short amount of time. But he passed with flying colors. Now he's studying for inspecting remodels. I know the design test will be a completely different test....but Gary's already passed the Architecture licensing test, yes?? So he'll know what to expect, I'm sure. My ex- was a licensed Landscape Architect....BRUTAL three day exam only offered once a year....I remember all the studying time leading up to it...when I had to do ALLLL the cl&*^ing!!! I think it was just a ploy.

Good luck, Gary!!

The blackwater Mrs. is sitting up a little more with her wings spread a little, could someone remind me, do the eagles sit upright more once an egg has hatched??

I'm wondering if we have an eaglet.
. :D

yes peppermint - gary did 5 year degree 3 year internship and was then luckily qualified to take the exam - 5 day / once a year in the City! It was brutal - for those who took the 5 day exam only 10% passed first try - GARY PASSED!

Now the test is just as long but on computer and they have testing centers and you can go and take one part - 2 parts - etc. There's still a time frame you have to meet to do the whole test or you have to start all over! :o So glad it's done1

He's really good at tests and he's done lots of LEEDS work so hopefully he should pass (or that's money down the toilet!) thanks - I'll pass on your thoughts .... :X: :X:

none of the licensing is easy - especially if you are not a test person......

and yeah I hear ya rofl rofl rofl

In honor of 'Pig Day' today, here's a cute video link a friend sent me recently of Kingsford the Piglet going to the beach.

“Dogs look up at you: cats look down at you: but pigs is equal...."
(Old English saying, quoted in Watkins & Hughes)

Keeping Trish's Mom, Beverly, Trish and her family in my thoughts and prayers. :candle:

Have a great Sunday watching all the nest egg-citement, or whatever you all are doing.
