I just checked the weather forecast for Cambridge, Maryland where Blackwater nest is and it looks like it will be improving greatly and getting much warmer over the next few days.

welcome newest members and visitors! we had a period of quiet here and now the last snow band is beginning to push in but I'd expect maybe only another inch if that! Thank goodness for the snowblower! The temps are gonna drop now for a day or 2 and then by Thurs warm up to 40's! nice of you to do that shoveling Zach - it's not easy that's for sure! So wherever you are - be safe and be well! ED did you watch that bird show? we saw the rest - it was very interesting!! |

Thanks all, for the welcome! I am a new member, but have been checking in for a while. I first looked in as wobble and bobble arrived. What a mix of joy and angst, following their early weeks and months. I'm a birder here in Vermont, and love listening to the PH birds in the morning. (Thanks to those of you who identify them!) More later.... |

Being tired and sad and down so often is not 'normal' Peetie. Sometimes there are real reasons for depression which will go away with time. Yours seems to be ongoing over a long period already. This can happen when a woman goes through 'the change of life' because of lower hormone levels in the body. If this is not the cause then you may need to go on some meds to help with the mood swings. There are various types and your Doctor should monitor your blood hormones and prescribe something to help you overcome your sadness. If you are sleep deprived this can worsen the whole situation too. If your Doctor is a man don't let him tell you this is all in your mind and to just get over it. Try and get a test for the hormones and see if that is the cause. it is something that can be reversed quickly. I hope that you feel better soon. Edit: I'm assuming that you have already had your blood tested. Low levels of Iron will also make a person very tired all the time, even after a full 8 hours of sleep. |

Afternoon all. Beautiful day today in Colorado. It's in the 70s here. Besides PH being off, so is NBG. They said the electric is out there. I hope the snow back east doesn't hurt any of the eggs. |

When we lived in Montreal, we often went to Stowe for the scenery and fresh air in the summer...not to mention all the arts and crafts available there too. Our oldest son had a serious asthma problem when he was younger and it seemed to really help him breathe a lot better when we were there

Peetie everyone is right - see a dr. you are comfortable with and be sure everything is AOK - my mom had some issues years ago and turned out it was her thyroid and she found out only because she was persistent! The Dr. was of a mind to blow her off but she had a real medical issue!

i know Penny and i already talked about that with my social worker (very wise and kind older woman)..... she's not really a social worker but a social psychial nurse... that's why she told me to go to Utrecht to "psyQ" to do tests... she asked me to watch their site and next wednesday (not this week) we go to her again (dh and i) and than we make a decision about this... an other idea she had was to go to a institution to talk in a group with people of course and than talk about everything whats going on in your mind (of course with guide's) but thats intern....than i've be there night and day for a couple of days/weeks...... i don't want that....(yet) people where i work did that too....he said to me "that's TOP peetie"....there they learn you talk...listen...cry....scream....etc etc etc. well step by step...first those tests...and than i see.. but there must happen "something"....now i stay in that circle.... you know what i mean ?? many hugs Penny...thanks a lot BUT THANKS SWEETIES FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND IDEA'S .... |
