Peetie you have been down since before your Dad had the surgery on his heart. I'd say 2-3 weeks before and maybe a month. Anyhow it's a long time. Call the Doctor and schedule an appointment. We ALL love you here, and want to hear your upbeat tone again. I can hear you are down in your words here. Get the help you need and get well again my friend. We need you here to keep track of all of the numbers!

Peetie, I want to add my 'two cents' too. I think Penny is right, and was being a very good friend to 'tell it like it is'. Hormones can make you miserable when they start to change. I have been through it and know from experience. I prefer a female doctor, because they always seem to understand women's issues better, and I'm much more comfortable seeing a woman for 'female problems' and health care. Natural plant derived estrogens are by far the best, but many that are normally prescribed are derived from Horses under very cruel and inhumane conditions. I try to raise awareness about this wherever possible. Many don't know that Premarin, PremPro and all related Horse derived hormones used to treat menopausal symptoms are actually inferior to natural and even synthetic ones, and are terrible for Horses.
Take care and know we're wishing you well.

Think I'll take a Power Nap before The Batchelor tonight. Not sure of the two girls names, but I know who I'd like to see him with, and it's not Deanna now. In The Batchelorette it was, she had her turn, and she did make a mistake a BIG one. Now it's Jason's turn to find happiness.

Peetie, When did you last have a thyroid check? It is amazing all the parts of your body that your thyroid controls. It is just a simple blood test, my gyno says that everyone over 40 should have one. Hang in there

Blackwater Nest Update 03/02/09: Hatching Alert We're seeing a hole in the second egg. These photos also show our little eaglet struggling to keep his head up, which is normal until his neck muscles are stronger. ![]() What a week to hatch! YIKES! |

Peetie, I was having issues a few years ago, not sleeping, grumpy (which isn't me), and just miserable. They did a blood test on me and found I was in full menopause, (this was when I was 48/49), my doctor put me on a estrogen patch and predisone pills. The patch is changed twice a week, and one pill each day. I feel fabulous ever since! There's some number in blood work that tells where you're at. Maybe this might be a possibility. |

I heard from a friend who works at the studio where the Bachelor is produced...what happens tonight...it's a shocker! Not what we would expect. Nevertheless, I'm tuning in for the fun. |

I LOVE this idea but have to think of something that Manu wouldn't think to 'explore'... gotta think of something he dislikes .... oooh... I know... SALMON - it's the only fish he doesn't like but then it would be unusual to have it in the freezer since I don't tend to cook it just for myself At the Marina Office I have to be creative to stash anything chocolate for a late afternoon pick-me-up.... I used to put it away in my desk drawer until he went looking for something and discovered the cache... I always find 'in plain sight' works .... he'll NEVER look in the filing bin Hope he's not reading 'chat' today (my day off)
