OWL CAM--- I was looking in on Mom owl and her chicks a little while ago and she was feeding them. I was reading the comments posted to see how many have hatched so far. On page 15 comments, they said there are 4 hatched. Still time for remainder to hatch, as she laid them so far apart.

It is interesting reading the comments of the 'nest observers'.

Surprising was an entry that Papa is  with her, even again tonight. My goodness, as we learn, each species in the bird world, sure have different behavior.

HI Carole,

Have not talked to you for ages. Isn't it eggciting to have eggs again, and soon be watching a whole new group of eaglets come into the world! :}^

Marsha

P.S. How are things in Toronto?

Kathie...I am sorry you lost so many pics but the ones you salvaged are awesome!  That one with the loon (I think that is what it is) following the other one is hilarious!  The one behind has its beak open and looks like its going to bite the other one's butt  rofl  "Get outta my way!"  rofl  rofl  Glad you had a great time!

Hi Karen! Those are actually Western Grebes and it was a juvie following his mom all around the lake begging to be fed. Reminded me a lot of Gulliver...

That was neat! Thanks for the heads-up. I thought I saw 5 babies, but maybe only 4. It's nice to have some birds to look at after the sun sets, huh?

I haven't been on Chat a lot recently...just busy, busy, busy. But the new eggs are wonderful, and I'm so grateful for all of the captures and the videos so I can check in each night after w**k!

I hope all the Easties are ok with all the snow.

Linda, so glad to hear DH's surgery went well.

George, hope you're recovering quickly.

Just bought my tickets for a trip to CA, but sorry to say that none of my dates will coincide with the upcoming festivities. :(

Have a good night. :Zz:

Kathie...really wasn't sure what those were but it cracked me up rofl And yeah, it does remind me of Gulli! I am going to have to watch some of the videos I captured of him. Miss him :(

Have some video of the barn owl chicklets without their mama and daddy. For some reason my videos will not upload on YouTube or Photobucket so I put them here now. Hope you can view it! Hm...gotta give them a few mins or so to process it.

If you all have not gone over to N.O. to see PAT's videos of WE---on page 13--they are a hoot! especially the second one of the "food delivery-switch-the stick". I am still giggling over the goings on in that one.

Nice way to head off to bed after a good laugh---

THANK YOU AGAIN PAT---IT IS A SHOW STOPPER!

Karen - Just watched the owl video - after I got back in my chair. When the parent charged right over the cam to exit the burrow it looked like it was coming right out of the screen! 'Bout gave me a heart attack! Cute little gray cheepy blobs though.... Good night - I'm headed that way myself....

Janna .... All we know about the PH cam ... is what I posted earlier on NW.

That they are checking into the problem and working on it as fast as they can.

So fingers crossed they find the cause and we will soon be able to view one of our favourite nests asap.

I think a few of us had 'withdrawal' symptoms today! :(

thank you Pat missed that post!
