Just thoght i would share one more shot of a national historic landmark here in philly of "The Union Leauge" founded in 1862 to support the polices of abraham lincoln. This "society" is one of the elite groups of philadelphia almost to the level of Benjamin Franklin's "American Philosophical Society" which is literally within earshot of Carpenter's and Independence Halls![]() From The Union League's website: The Union League, which occupies an entire city block in the center of Philadelphia’s commercial and cultural district, is a shining jewel of history in a city defined by such treasure. Founded in 1862 as a patriotic society to support the policies of President Abraham Lincoln, The Union League has hosted U.S. presidents, heads of state, industrialists, entertainers and visiting dignitaries from around the globe. It has also given loyal support to the American military in each conflict since the Civil War, and continues to be driven by its founding motto, “Love of Country Leads.” |

:soar: Mornin', Love the beautiful picture of the orchid. That was my mom's favorite flower. Also, nice shot of the buildings. Husband is in construction. Good to see that the Blackwater nest has less snow coverage today. Hardy birds. No rain here today. Love how green everything seems to be turning though. Two more weeks until Sacred Door Have a great day ya'll, Eagleaddict

Deb - Sara & Sota.......well Sara is in hiding, maybe incubating, can't see, and Sota is sticking close to the nest area. Hank the Heron, Mr. & Mrs. Mallard, Izzie the Ibis, Edie the Egret, just to mention a few. Will check them out later, playing golf this morning. If I'm not on the forum later, just want to wish you and ES a great trip to Ohio. Hope all is well with your Mom. Enjoy your time with DD and DS. Have lots of fun.

Good morning! My legs and back are still sore from the pounding they took on Center City's pavements yesterday, but it is all worth it! George your pictures are great! Love all of them, and it's hard to pick a favorite! Sorry to hear you too are having discomfort, but it will get better. Just take it easy today. Lucky you, I have to work. Thanks for the pictures in my e-mail this morning. Will plant my bulbs of Paper Whites, Lillles, and the plant to make Leis from this weekend. Ken must have been jealous about my outing yesterday. When I got home I had a dozen roses waiting for me! Hmm I'll have to do that more often! We did disuss a little about the Easties First Annual Party in September, but George doesn't like to plan that far in advance, and it is difficult not knowing how many we can expect. So please, if interested in seeing our Historical Town Post it in the other Thread. We are pleased to be your Host & Hostess, and will do our best to show you Northern Hospitality. |

I have only just begun to sort my hockey images and have decided to share 3 shots.![]() ![]() ![]() Keeping things Eagle related, the opponents were the Norfolk Admirals which is fitting given our other interest in the norfolk eagles |
