What lenses did you use for those shots George?

Hockey was the AFD S 80-200mm 2.8 shot with d90 at iso 2000

Flower show shots used 60mm micro nikkor with bracket mounted nikon Sb800dx flash

Street shots were with the 18-55mm AFG DX VR kit lens

Nice Pictures George... Makes me think that Spring might be on the way afterall. So glad that you and Cricket had such a great time. I have no idea how you decided to make it a double-header by adding in a hockey game after. I'd have been bushed after the flower show. :P

Deb... Have a great trip! Does someone watch your birds while you are away?

Carole... I <3 all of the bird's names too! You'll miss them all when you go back home.

I was so happy to read in the Catalina update that Dr. Sharpe found the Seal Rock's eagles new nest and that they have 2 eggs!!! What a beautiful new nest they have built. It's a shame that we won't get to watch them but at least we know that they are fine and nesting.

Thoughts and prayers are with you Trish and I pray that Bev gets well soon. :Hugs:

It wasnt supposed to be a two event day for me. However, the soon to be moving ahl phatoms decided to change their final game of the season from easter sunday to last night. After cricket and I arranged things for wednesday, a new ticket arrived for the game. Hence, i was not going to jilt cricket but i was not also going to waste a ticket that cost me 25.00 for. Since the Stadium complex was just a short subway ride south of where we were, it was not too much of a detour.

I had never been inside the Wachovia Center so it was a nice added bonus. The orignal game was to be played at the Phantoms normal home the old Wachovia Sepctrum built in 1967 and replaced by the Center that is to be demolished later this year. The reason for having to use the new building was that there was a Sesame Street on Ice event going on in the old Spectrum too.

I have to give kudos to the owners of the Spectrum and both the Flyers and Phantoms hockey teams. Theyre a class act from what ive observed in recent dealings with them over such things as a misprinted ticket, and a ticket which was mistakenly shredded by myself. There was no problem at all in obtaining a reprinted ticket for last nights game. In other cities i think whomever the team was would have told me to kiss off and take a hike before they hung up on me. I was very very happy with them and made a point to let it known to anyone i spoke with yesterday at the game.

the Mets - well the new stadium is hosting a college baseball game as the first event - the Sunday that we get back from CA. The tickets (every ticket in the new stadium Citi Field) sold for $5 - of course Gary forgot and we missed the sale window and didn't get any tickets :'( wasn't so much about the ball game but more about being able to see the new stadium for $5 a person! oh well.....

Did anyone hear we had a close call Tuesday with a BIG Astroid? If I recall correctly it passed within 38,000 miles of us. I would feel better had we been told something was done to try to overt a catastrophic event.

Panic would have been the case if they had said something Cricket and the fact that they knew it wouldn't do any good anyways and people panicking :8O: is the worse thing that could happen, besides the asteroid hitting of course. :8O: :8O: :8O: :8O:
I want to see your pics of the flower show! ----------------<@ :D

Janna - thank you. I just might take you up on your offer. Where did you find it? I'll work on a signature and visit the tech help thread after I survive tax season. I work two part-time jobs for two different CPA's, so it's just starting to ramp up.

Janna I didn't take any pictures yesterday. I put that task on George since his equipment is better then mine. He had a different lens for everything! What a guy! He even treated me to Lunch, and it was divine!
