George I know those are english words (some of them) but photography has it's own language!!

Ian good luck. Paul was hanging out of the back of a helicopter with his camera taking pictures and a huge wind whipped the strap off his neck and bye bye went the camera.

Yeah everything high tech has its own jargon whether photo, computers or even art.

Hooboy dropping camera from a copter. Have not done that but about 20 years ago I had a camera strap break and my leica M3 body and expensive lens bounced down a few concrete steps. Camera fortuantely survived but the language I used made sailors from norfolk va to pearl harbor hi faint from the shock of my language. rofl Today that 50 year old camera body, without the lens, in the good shape would now cost me $750.00. Even 20 years ago they were not that inexpensive.

Tidbit: classic leica cameras often are worth more today than they were when new. Unlike "other" makes just like used cars which depreciate a huge amount as soon as you drive off the lot, the leica has this tendancy to appreciate over time. Hence my Leica Passion.

Also the Leica was the first 35mm film camera to use the 24x36mm frame size that is the negative size we know today. Other japanese makers such as canon, nikon ,miranda and others copied the same basic shape and design and their early models resemble very closely that of the leica :clk:

Is this by choice or by necessity? I hope by choice as you dont need the anxiety given the crap youve been dealing with of late! Sometimes a change of scenery can really help one's outlook! ;) :X:

Hiker....ahhhh my passion. They probably catch as many >>: as I do when I go!!

George and Paula et al This is where my friend (some of you know her she has been on many a trip to the islands etc.) Lynne is "stuck" here tonight  rofl
she has to change the time clock at work (oh yes this is where she has to work) so they let her stay the night. I get to stay here with her to (ahhhem) keep her company!!! :><: The room service menu will be utilized tonight along with the "welcome" basket. A nice bottle of chilled summerville wine with glasses. Cheese, crackers, fruit and chocolate in case we need a snack :Yum: :Yum:

There are about 11 Ravens flying by the window. There must be a nest around somewhere. The beautiful orange sun just set in the blue ocean. Check out time is 12 noon better believe I'm gonna be here til then!!
