Here's a few pictures Goose took of the nest at Blackwater today. If you look close in the first picture you can see the female sitting in the nest. We heard the female calling for her mate and watched the male arrive to take over nest duties. ^"^ ^"^

Very nice Mrs. Goose, the dark picture is so serene looking... I love it...you've had a good day if you've seen eagles!!!... My DH and I are going looking tomorrow at Cachuma.. then to Chumash Indian Casino or Solvang... not sure what I will be in the mood for after being on a beautiful lake all morning...not a big gambler but do play the slots.....

At the Blackwater Visitor Center you can watch the eagle cam with live continuous video, not the thirty second pictures we see on the website. It was a much clearer picture too. Too bad they don't live stream on their website. Here's a picture of an eagle's nest inside the center.

LaLa it most definitely was a good day. It was 66 degrees and we saw lots of eagles and other birds too. We did see another nest with a white head peeking out the top but couldn't get close enough for a good picture. Hope you have a good day at Cachuma Lake tomorrow and good luck at the casino too! :soar:

We just get one chance to see Bald Eagles at Cachuma...during the winter months.. the juvie I saw last week might be gone now.. there is one adult pair that stay at the lake but are most likely inland with their nesting activities right now.. like our eagles... only chance would be to see one of them early fishing in a cove....but anything is possible... :X:

Lala: when Max played in L.A. it was mostly heavy metal....I passed on that. Now he's permanently in NY. The only time I've heard him play as an adult is when he played the accordion....YES, accordion!!...for his brother's wedding summer of 2007....what a hoot that was!! Great fun.

Lala: no, that's not him.  You might find him somewhere under Max Hart.  He was also in a heavy metal band in L.A. for awhile called The High Speed Scene...made at least one CD....do NOT listen to this music!!!  LOL  The lyrics were shocking to this old aunt.

How about this guy??
