<3 Good afternoon all. We never made it out to Santa Clarita yesterday. Spent the day doing laundry. Yuck! I didn't realize that today was K10's birthday. All my kids and grandkids are here today to celebrate my granddaughter's 10th birthday. And a friend from church had her baby girl this morning too. Special day :bday: I love the peacock photo. I lived in Lake Elsinore one summer several years ago, and was just up the street from a peacock farm. I remember the noise. Beautiful bird. Better sign off, family is in the livingroom, and I just stepped out to check the nest and all. Good evening to all. Eagleaddict <3

My first three pictures taken today!!!... We just got to Lake Cachuma (DH and I) and we were an hour early so I drove around to the East side of the lake, Mohawk Campground, which was closed to camping..so very quiet... I drove up as close as I could get to the lake to show DH where I took so many Osprey pics last time and just as we stopped, we both stared out the windshield at this sight....one of only two adults at the lake and I drove right to him... I grabbed my camera as did DH and if you can believe this, my camera wouldn't work.. left my memory card at home... but as you know I always bring a second camera and my little Nikon Coolpix card fit my bigger Nikon... we were quite a distance away so sorry for the quality of pics, but you know I had to post them... from this moment on I felt the day was a huge success.. my first adult eagle at the lake.... :><: :<<>>: :clk: <3

We were not as close as it might seem to the eagle... we both saw his white head in the distance and there was no doubt what he was... I think I was hooting and howling when it was over.... haven't seen DH's pics yet... he might have done better...

George save the first dance for me ok? I think the last time I danced was right after I had my hip done 2 yrs. ago Aug. and it was a fast dance too. Never missed a beat. This one fellow is a Nurse, and he said she'll never make it, but I surprised him, and everyone else too! Actually it was 6-8 wks. Post Op I did it!

Melissa, the naturalist was more excited than I was and wanted to see the pictures.. she hasn't seen an adult for awhile and knows one is on the nest most of the time, way back in a canyon....she said the eagles like to hang out with the ospreys and steal their fish after a successful hunt... so it makes sense that he was at the osprey hangout...you can see he is grasping something in his/her right talon...

Moving right along... I was very proud of spotting this immature bald eagle this morning, scanning with my Stokes, Talon Binnoculars... Melissa said I could come on her boat anytime.. sorry, had to brag.... another not so good pic but she wasn't allowed to go beyond markers in the water... but still, juvies are still at the lake and she saw four in one day last week!!!!

The dinner was perfect tonight. Lamb chops were done med. rare as they should be, and the Creamed Peas and Pearl Onions were better then last night. So was the glazed carotts. I have to give myself a 10 for that one, and Ken did too. He told me he couldn't buy a meal this good! I'll Post thre recipe as soon as I can in the next few days.
