Bea yes K-26 did this last year too,. I was quite concerned, but was told not to be that she would return by 6:30 Pacific Time, and she did like clock work. GEORGE if you get any closer you will have to introduce yourself! They are lovely, and I am so glad to hear you are pain free. |

If you think crocii are hard, try shooting violets! first my backyard is taken over by crocus blooms then i get three varieties of violets, the basic purple, then the canadian ones which are purple and white and finally the downy violets which are yellow. Hopefully the ones who bloomed last year liked the neighborhood and went forth and multiplied as i dont have that many of the yellow ones if the deer dont get them first

More new Xi Lan PicsThe Mommie Monster just dropped me again!!! ![]() Photo by Pandaholic I'm getting sooo sleepy...see you when I wake up ![]() Photo by bob2cleo Click each photo to go to each album on Flickr Apparently, the Atlanta Zoo is NOT paying for the cam. The negotiations they went through for so long was with a PARTNER and it is a GIFT! No cash is involved. The PARTNER is still having technical difficulties with the bandwidth stream needed, and because this is a GIFT, the Zoo feels they can NOT complain about how long it is taking to get it working but they are 'pretty sure' it will be up by March 20th. |

Penny your captions were adorable. Well, our Squish camera hopefully will be dialed in before he's a teenager asking the mommy monster to let him borrow the car.

That is particularly funny because they actually do have one of those Little Tyke cars there and when Mei Lan was trying it on for size, Lun Lun kept hauling her out of it!!! |

This sort of shot does now make me want the 105mm micro nikkor. I can immagine, since i am almost 50, i dont get up as easily as i used to. Lucky for me i am not "bulk challanged" or they would need to rent a crane to hoist me back upright. The odd angles we use to get "that shot" is what makes photo fun!! especially if we get an unusual perspective of the subject in our viewfinder!

George...I have the purple violet in my front yard plus volunteers which have popped up elsewhere in the yard as well as travelling next door to the neighbor's yard. Sometimes I think they would take over the yard if I didn't control them. I have never seen a yellow violet. The white/lavender violet is lovely. We had Johnny Jump Ups in the yard where I grew up...never had to plant them...they always put in a spring appearance. They look very much like the violet but the leaves are more like the pansy. I must say how much I enjoy all of the fabulous pictures recently...flowers, birds, Solvang...always enjoy going there...hockey action shots, Xi Lan and, of course, everyone's pets. Chiquita |
