I'm usually not too much of a worry wart when it comes to the nesting/incubating phase but this morning's series of raven attacks are starting to get to me big time. Jann's second video is really a bit scary especially when you see K10 hitting the egg as he jumps around ![]() PH Here They Come Again! ![]() |

I was watching when he kicked the egg defending his nest. Something needs to be done about those stupid ravens. I would like to see those talons take down one of these jerks. I'm really concerned. When the I pray the parents guard them from these ravens. I too am very worried, it was relentless for at least an hour.

Ok we are missing some regulars here. Peetie, Andie, Janna, just to name a few. Peetie may be spending time with Sjimmie. Hopefully bringing him home for the first time! Andie may still be having trouble with her back I'm not sure. Hope she gets better soon. Janna where are you? Sent you e-mails and called you this past weekend, and still no answer! |

Hello everyone! I got this email today, and I jsut thought I'd share it with you all! (the pictures aren't in it. There was only two though.) WILL YOU WEAR BLUE??? International Picture of the Year Here are two very touching photos honored this year First Place: First Place Todd Heisler The Rocky Mountain News When 2nd Lt. James Cathey's body arrived at the Reno Airport, Marines climbed into the cargo hold of the plane and draped the flag over his casket as passengers watched the family gather on the tarmac. During the arrival of another Marine's casket last year at Denver International Airport, Major Steve Beck described the scene as so powerful: 'See the people in the windows? They sat right there in the plane, watching those Marines. You gotta wonder what's going through their minds , knowing that they're on the plane that brought him home , ' he said 'They will remember being on that plane for the rest of their lives. They're going to remember bringing that Marine home. And they should.' Second Place Second Place Todd Heisler The Rocky Mountain News The night before the burial of her husband's body , Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket , asking to sleep next to his body for the last time The Marines made a bed for her , tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep , she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of 'Cat , ' and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. 'I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it , ' she said. 'I think that's what he would have wanted.' PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Blue Fridays. Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing blue every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'. We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something blue By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of blue much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in BLUE and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on. The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is.We need your support and your prayers.' Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something blue every Friday. |

Wasnt it somebody here whose son had injured his shoulder? was it the labrum? the reason I am bringing this up is that i just heard a report regarding the treatment NBA Player for the Philadelphia 76ers Elton Brand just had done a month ago. Today he started post surgery PT after 4 weeks in a sling. I may have misheard the report but the PT is supposed to last for 3 or 4 months. Of course he doesnt have to deal with the jumping through hoops, pardon the pun, like we do with our health insurance plans. Just thought i would share the report From the 76ers website "Brands MRI results were reviewed by team orthopedist and medical director Dr. Jack McPhilemy of Main Line Health System and Dr. Craig Morgan of the Morgan-Kalman Clinic in Wilmington, DE, who concluded that the initial tear of the labrum in Brands right shoulder is responsible for a considerable decrease in the range of motion and instability, both of which would not allow him to be effective on the court. Following six weeks of non-operative and conservative treatment, including two weeks of testing it on a daily basis in live action, a determination was made that in order to reduce the risk of any further damage to the shoulder, surgery would be required" Total time to full strength and range of motion 6 months: from hte NBA Website Brand is out for the remainder of this season, but could start shooting and dribbling in two months, and will require three months after that before he's at full strength. Assuming that timetable holds up, Brand should be ready to go for the 2009-10 regular season. Just thought i would share the information if it might be of any use in planning what sport(s) he wished to forego til the full recovery. Of course Elton Brand is a trained athelete who may be in better physical condtion due to the training they all undergo on and off season |

But if it is, Hopefully you wont need to join "The zipper club" and the less invasive procedure of a Stent will suffice.
