Spent Lead bullets not only for the wildlife but also for humans can be a problem. Many rifle ranges have closed due to lead contaimination of the surrounding environs. If not mistaken the Pennsylvania DER and Game Commission have closed one or two ranges on state game land due to lead contaminated soil. I shoot at one Range on game comission land and many of us are concerned. Apparantly according to one of the game comission officers i ran into there there has not been any lead contamination so far at the site up at French Creak in Chester County. Pa. I would not mind "plinking" at my paper targets with something safer such as a ceramic bullet if they are feasable for use in the types of rifles i shoot with. note, I AM NOT A HUNTER! I shoot only paper targets not living ones. There is a difference between a sport shooter and a hunter. I dont hunt simply because i dont have a freezer which would hold a whole deer and I dont think i could eat the whole deer in a year of sundays. |

George I am sure I will be getting a referral tomorrow to a Cardiologist, because I have not had a normal EKG or Stress Test since I had Pulmonary Emboli. This Head Honcho puts everyone in the hospital right away from his Office. He's very good, but am still very uncomfortable about going. I did have an AMI years ago but signed out AMA. I am NOT a very good patient. They better have leather restraints ready. They will need them! If it comes to that, I will have Ken Post how I am doing here in Chat using my name. |

E-GADs! If that was a test, I think I scored 100%! Not all at once or all the time, thank goodness. Thanks for presenting an alternate diagnosis, Elaine. Not that I'm sure that having a mental condition is any better than a physical one - sometimes surgery is way easier than therapy!

I second that one too. I've had all those symptoms, however, I've had many heart workups, stress tests, echocardiograms, and the usual EKG, my ticker is doing great. I was surprised considering my mom and sister died of heart disease at 52, and my dad at 60. My brother (twin with my sister) and I have healthy hearts. It's always good to do the stress test, it gives the cardioligist a good idea what's going on. |

The Last Time I had a Stress Test done was prior to my Parotid Tumor Surgery, and since I was having trouble walking I had a Medicated Stress Test. All I did was sit on a litter with an I.V in my arm. Left a terrible taste in my mouth. Maybe they'll do that type again since I can't walk too far or long at this time without getting SOB. |

Hmmmm, I'm not really sure Anxiety Disorder is being classified as a Mental Condition. So I wouldn't say that someone with anxiety problems had a mental problem. There are probably a thousand reasons but IMHO I think they are leaning more towards the chemicals in our bodies and the imbalance thereof! And Lord knows there are enough toxins in our environment to make an impact on most of us!

My sister in law had one of her miniature terriers in a boarding facility until they found a home to move into and the dogs got out and her doggie was hit by a car and killed. We are all very sad. Does anyone have a suggestion for what I might do for her this evening as a condolence please?

Anxiety is a mental condition and can be helped with meds. I was always taking some sort of psychology class to get my teaching degree. |

Too bad you won't be near Seattle, WA Marie because then you would be able to spy this eagle and/or a few more just like him. I was actually thinking of you driving on the turnpike and trying to get pics of the hawk on the way to work when I read this Deb  RAW: Bald eagle perched over SR 520 ![]() March 4th, 2009 - A bald eagle has picked a perch on a light pole over the State Route 520 floating bridge over Lake Washington. It's becoming a bit of a disruption for drivers slowing down to look at the bird. Eagle eyes on 520 bridge 06:26 PM PST on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 By DEBORAH FELDMAN / KING 5 News SEATTLE - You see the traffic backup long before you spot the bird. For weeks now, commuters have been treated to a spectacular sight, a majestic bald eagle, usually sitting on a lamp post on the Seattle side of the SR 520 bridge. Department of Transportation bridge tech Jim Watkins sees the eagle almost daily from his perch in the bridge's tower. "We have seen him swoop down and take fish out of the lake,” he said. He says there's usually a tip-off when the eagle has landed. "The traffic will slow down, and we'll wonder what's going on, if there's a stall or a slowdown, and then we get to the end of the bridge and the eagle's up on the luminaire," he said. It turns out there's not just one bald eagle, but two eagle pairs, one on each end of the floating bridge. "They also prey not only on fish but on a lot of waterfowl,” said DOT wildlife biologist Michael McDonald. Wildlife biologists say there's a large nest on the Seattle side that eagles have used for years, although they're not around as much in the winter. "There's not as much food around, they have to divvy it up, so they really spread out," said McDonald. Now if you drive 520 frequently and still haven't managed to see an eagle yet, wildlife biologists say there's no need to fret. They say by the beginning of June, they expect several more eagles to be hanging around the area - eagle chicks that is, since the adults are in a mating and nesting phase right now. Commuters say they're happy to exchange a slower drive for a spectacular sight. http://www.king5.com/video/index.html?nvid=338298 |

Surgery is more dangerous than therapy and if therapy is stuck with it can do wonders for people! |
