haha PETE 400 mm lenses are very expensive here in Holland...

cost more than my camera itself.....

This is true with MOST lenses other than the more "snapshooter" grade lenses. Most lenses often do cost more than the camera. After all the camera is not much more than a timing device that opens and closes to let light from the LENS to be read by a light sensitive material either film or a digital sensor.

Its all in the glass and the quality of the glass

Good Morning Peeps :}^ Peetie.

Your kitty is very cute and fluffly. He has tufts of longer hair in his ears the same as Siobhan has  I like the first picture where you can see all of him :)^

Kris's DH is right, those buzzards do look like golden eagles.

Here's an Estonian White Tailed Eagle in her nest this morning.

Ohhhh Lala!!! I love your new signature! :D
I have been meaning to ask you if that was one of your pics of our beautiful Wray?
I also loved your moon shot this morning.

Here's what the moon looked like last night on the Maine nest.

And this morning there was high drama. :(
No idea what's going on at the Maine nest anymore but if I had to guess, I would say it's a new pair taking over the nest.

Carole... Looks like there's still 3 eggs at NCTC in your picture. I'd have bet my bottom dollar there was a chick in that nest yesterday. Sherri said that there are now 3 eggs at Decorah so add another one to your nest tally. :D

Peetie... Your kittie is adorable!!!
