Good morning Cruzers.

Happy Birthday Christine. Hope you have a special day.

Wow, did we have wind yesterday. One gust of 53 MPH. Felt like the house was going to topple over a few times.

Carole, thanks again for the Eagleland pictures. :)^

Peetie, great news about spooky. What a pretty kitty he is. Fingers crossed that Sjimmie will come home soon.

Woke up this morning to a little snow flurry and it's cold again today. However looks like we might have a little Shemesh today. :*:

Good luck at the Dr today Deb.

I had a milestone .... geez ..... :blsh:

how's the kitty doing Peetie!? While visiting at my DD's - Norman made himself at home on my bed - he's so cute and I'm so glad to see he's all healed but the scars are visible to remind us of what happened - the idiot never showed in court and they aren't killing themselves to look for him either - there's a warrant and you can bet sooner or later, he'll get caught - I'm hoping sooner than later .. :X:

Yes I'm getting more and more use of the finger - a little stiff. Saw Dr. for the last time this morning - he was so nice! Got to see the therapist in an hour - probably last visit too. I can do the exercises on my own and with vacation now coming up - probably just as well.

It just looks funny but I'll always have something to talk about won't I :D

Hmm , does giving the "universal salute" as you or when you are forced onto the LIE count as therapy?? rofl IF so, even i could get into that exercise.

Heard an interesting news story from Long Beach Island. There was a shore home designed by a noted architect which was saved from the bull dozers and placed onto a barge and will be towed up to Glen Cove to be placed next to another home by the same archetect. Wish i were closer to long island as that might be an interesting photo shoot to see the barge arrive and the home moved into place

Here is the story from the KYW1060 News radio station (sister station of NYC's 1010WINS btw harpo)

Landmark House in LBI Moving by Sea to Long Island

by KYW's John Ostapkovich

A landmark house in Barnegat Light, NJ won't be there much longer. It's about to be moved by sea to its new location on Long Island.

The story of the Lieb House goes back to the 60's when it was instantly both admired and reviled. One of its architects even described it as a "bold little ugly banal box," and it was recently in danger of being torn down before being bought by a Long Island couple.

They hired Jamin Buckingham of Wolfe House Movers who says technically it's not all that difficult:

"It's a little more work as far as complicated, lining it up. But as far as the actually house, it's a very easy house, very easy job for us. It's all wood frame. It was sitting four, five foot off the ground. Very easy move. It was a nice road to the barge. It was only about a half mile, and it was wide open."

The barge will take the house to its new home in Glen Cove over two days, to be plunked near another house by the same architects.

Lots of drama going on at the Maine nest this morning. A territorial/mate disputes going on. It's really hard to see. The cam is pulled way back and the lighting whether it's from the sun or something's wrong with the camera, not sure.

George I remember seeing that in the paper here recently - I wanted to note the dates and maybe pop up there (we lived in Glen Cove for about 12 years!) Would be some great shots wouldn't it - plus I'd like to see the building.
