Not sure if Hiker posted this yet, but one of the 35 horses rescued in October from a ranch in the mountains near Ojai had a foal last week... I just found out that 9 more mares are pregnant... the Humane Society of Ventura is building a barn to house these horses and to use in emergency situations, such as wild fires... so they are looking for lots of help in this new challenge... I just got my newsletter and they have a picture of the new barn with stalls which will be great for our hot summers and rainy winters..

![]() ![]() Actually, I just found there have been three foals born.. these are the two latest: The light colored foal is the girl, born 3/2.. the dark one is a boy, born 3/12... they are so cute... Don't know what would have happened to these animals if the Humane Society had not been alerted to their misery.... Opps... today is 3/12 so this must be 2/12 for the boy .... |

LaLa - The deer are smart enough to stay away from the ponds and lakes where the alligators are but the Sandhills have lost many eggs as they lay them on the greenery on the ponds. This year and last year they have been successful in moving the chicks out of the area as soon as they hatched. Love your hawk pictures, they are beautiful. Bless the Humane Society for all they have done and will do for these beautiful horses. The foals are precious.

Lala I just want to grab scout and squeeze him. Everytime I see a picture of him it just makes me love him more and of course your "eye". Why is the horse laying down? I didn't think they did that or is that just cause of the youth? I sent you an email too Regan had a red tail hawk last night. Maybe one of these days I'll get to "see" one again flying around. Meantime great pics to look at. It was difficult to find the display last night so missed a lot. Allmost all the animals were put away already. Did get to see the fox though and then went to eat pie!!! George I wanted to ask you what the speed has to do with the memory stick and the other thing you mentioned??? Oh and I want one of those customized orthotics too for my ankle. Well, for the foot to help the ankle. I didn't know there was a way to do that.j Who knew I had so little information on Psychology of Human Sexuality!!! I have been studying for my midterm tonight. I sent my answers to my instructor just a little while ago. Since I could not read the questions he said I could answer them from an email. Much easier. I could make it as big as I had to to see it. WHEW.... glad that's over. Christine....Happy Happy Birthday. Hope you have enough cake to eat tonight. I can not imagine a knee replacement. I may have to have that done too. You'll have to tell me all about it. I'm freaked!!! Laurie.....your back is better? Yippee . Those shots have not done anything for me yet. I kinda gave up on them. |
