Deb, thanks.......I'm all caught up now. Poor Skye....... :(
Anyone have any idea if the ravens have always been so pesky in years past?
Petra, I know I haven't been around in awhile, but you were/are a favorite of mine, so I hope whatever is happening doesn't make you leave.
We all need to be kind.......we birders are a tender hearted bunch! :Hugs:

Oklahoma had 4 eggs last year, this year they have 3

ohhhhhhhhh....I guess whatever I saw earlier was a report from 2008? Did all 4 make it to fledging last year?

They are still showing the 4 eggs from last year on their website. Only 2 eggs hatched and fledged.

I thought this was terrible animal abuse by an insensitive (expletive) and turned off the Today Show both times this week that I saw them covering the subject.

I'm sorry Kris. I just watched a bit of it & didn't think of it that way. Guess I should have watched it more & thought about it more before posting. :(

No worries Jill. :Hugs: It was just a coincidence I'd seen the same segment and had that reaction just this morning. I think a lot of things like that are just accepted, but when looked at with a compassionate eye to the animals it can be seen with a whole different perspective.

This plate also for sale on ebay-

"You are bidding on a very "UNIQUE" Oval Platter, made by the Anchor Pottery of trenton,NJ....This platter has a American Bald Eagle on it with it's wings spread,it perched on a rock with the words LIBERTY,TRUTH,JUSTICE,EQUALITY underneath the eagle...to the right of the eagle it says SAMUEL KATZ,LIVE POULTRY,306 EAST FERRY STREET...I know this street is in Newark,NJ....This platter cover both patroitic as well as a advertising piece...the platter is 16" long and 11 1/2" wide....The condition is as follows..the platter is starting to discolor, but all the writer is clear(as you can see in the pictures),there is one small chip bottom left (about 7 o'clock,if the platter was a clock)....also,lots of crazing on the platter....I'm guessing but I feel this is from world war one era????"

Just thought I'd look at newly listed things & there are quite a few neat ones! And if you like dust catchers, there are some neat sculptures of eagles for sale! :D

Moderators dont have an easy job. As much as one would love to see uniformity in the tolerance of or handling of some of the board or fourums Terms of service /protocols things do slip through the cracks.<SNIP>
As i said, it was not an easy job there nor do i suspect it is here

It must be very trying. Maybe there should be Term Limits.

And a few years ago I ordered something from ebay in Canada and when it arrived, I had to pay an extra $20 'duty'. I did not know about that!
