Sheila, your whale pictures are fantastic! I've lived here over twenty years and I've never had such a good view of a grey. You should send them to Edhat. They've been publishing reader's whale photos every day for the past ten days and none even come close to the quality of yours. :><:

You took some really great pictures Sara. They don't need captions. Well I suppose it helps if you were there. :P

I can post my web album from yesterday's celebration at Hurry Curry, but Picassa freezes whenever I try to edit. Thus you'll have to make your own captions! Enjoy.

Thank you Sara for being our chauffer yesterday, you're the best! What a great day we had, I'm glad to see you made it home safely. I was worried about you! BTW, loved the movie, we behaved so well. Your pictures are a great memory of good friends!

Thanks Dave, Sara & Carole - I am still in awe of seeing the gray so up close and personal - don't like seeing the kayakers following him so close, but in the end I benefited - not that I am supporting them.

What movie did you guys go to see - glad you got to spend more time together.

Hi Peeps! Better late than never, here are my pix from Hurry Curry. I posted in Cruzer Events, but thought I'd put the link here too.

I didn't take many - I was having way too much fun! I loved every minute of the entire day and can't wait until the next event. Hate to post & run but I have things I have to get done before going back to w**k tomorrow. I'll check in again later....

SHEILA Your grey whale photos are thrilling! What an exciting event for you and the folks at S.B. Harbor and the whale must like it too--does not seem to be in any hurry to leave--sounds like s/he is enjoying the stay as well :D

I thought it was against the law to approach any whale in ANY vessell without some sort of speical permit?

This link has the guidelines for watching whales in the southwest.

Federal regulations are very confusing.

The weather has really been bad at a lot of the Eagleland nests today, rain and strong winds. NCTC, Norfolk, Saanich and Delta, just to name a few have such dedicated eagle parents who never complain of a "Bad Hair/Feather Day" and protect their eaglets and eggs.

One soaking wet parent........Posted Image
