Elaine Ruth you're getting all of your rain early. April will be beautiful for you. We'll get all of OUR rain in July when we are vacationing at camp. . . just like it has the last two years. I'm actually hoping things will be WAY different this year.

Eagle 09-0171 ![]() This adult Bald Eagle — the tenth eagle admitted to the Center thus far in 2009 — was admitted on March 14. The bird had been seen on a farmer’s field near Suffolk for about a week — unable to fly but alluding capture. With the help of some food put out by the landowner, the eagle was captured by rehabber Lisa Barlow and brought to the Wildlife Center by NESTI volunteer transporter Dana Lusher. The eagle has an old left ulnar fracture that is in the process of healing with fairly decent alignment (the radius was not fractured). However, it also has a traumatic amputation of the left wing at the level of the second digit. With these injuries, the bird is non-releasable. The eagle is currently being treated with antibiotics, pain medications, and fluids; further assessments of the bird will take place during the week of March 16. |

Laurie do you think Mom and Dad Maine are defending their old nest even though they are not going to use it this year ? I sure hope neither one of them gets damaged in any way by these incidents!!! There was a talon lock in that video which is why both birds went crashing down

Are you serious, ER??? How can you have lived this long without See's candy??? ![]() Oops - that didn't come out quite right. All humans should have experienced See's candy before the age of 5. Is that better? |

Sorry to be MIA for so long Wendy came over for the weekend and we were planning on going fishing but the weather never got warm enough so we just watched movies. Some how I got head lice. I do NOT know how or where but it takes a lot to get rid of it. About 10 years ago was the first time I had ever experienced it and now I am sensitive to it. Something must bloom around this time of year also that makes me think I have it cause my head will itch. I tried to ignore it and realized this time it REALLY was lice.....yucky. This time I used a home remedy and I'm hoping it works. I used mayo, white vinegar and tea tree oil. Hope it works cause I am not happy!! http://classicfun.ws/the-sweetest-piglet-ever/2009/02/13 Check out this little viedo of the piglet so cute!! Got to go have a ct scan and PT from that accident I had out front. Will not be back today....got class later |
