Lots of egg laying going on everywhere. I think spring has sprung! Lala of course your photo is postcard ready and I think you should do just that! The falcon cam here in SF is up and running. Female has laid 4 eggs! This cam is at the PG&E building in downtown SF. I have watched before when George and Gracie were there. Now there is a new couple. So take a peek as if we don't have enough to watch already  http://www2.ucsc.edu/scpbrg/falconcamera.htm |

Hi Everyone. Just got back from camping in Sycamore Canyon. Didn't see any eagles, but lots of those noisy parrots! They're adorable, we saw a flock of 23 in one group. Lots of hiking, eating and watching movies in the r.v.

Very cool Nancy. I didn't realize, they are also the Santa Cruz Falcon cam group. I actually saw 2 eggs beneath Clara there today. Considering back in 1970 there were only 2 nesting pair of falcon left in the state, it's pretty amazing they have so many cams available. |

Yes Trish...I think that they also follow the falcons on the Channel Islands if I'm not mistaken. Too bad about the Barn Owl banding this morning. Those guys are sure getting big and what fun to watch huh? |

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi! Carole, still love your updaes of the eagles all around! I am so thrilled for the Norfolk eagle pair! Two successful hatchings and the third egg has pipped! Looks like there should be a third baby tomorrow! Also, I loved your baby sand crane photos at the golf course! Too darn cute! I have also been checking in on the Maine nest. There is quite a lot of action going on. I wish they would get some peace so they could have some little babies again. I don't fully understand this behavior...seems to be so much space to create their own territories and nests??? Poor things. Anyway... eggs-cited for Deb to go on another tour!!! Have fun! Have a super night all!! Nancy |

Yes Nancy, bummer about the banding, but we needed the rain so badly, and the owl chicks will still be there next week I'm sure. By then they may decide to band all 4 of them. I also saw Tiny swallow a whole mouse last night, so I'm now relieved and feel sure he is going to be fine. As long as rodents don't get scarce. |

I watched the PG&E cam for a couple of seasons and when these little ones hatch it is really exciting watching the parent bring in prey. It certainly keeps the pigeon population down in SF I was able to watch the lone falcon fledge 3 years ago it was neat. Everyone in SF gets into it.

Trish well even if you access the web site that I posted earlier, you can at least read the diary for each of the cams that they are following. Click at the top of the page on Nest Cams and it will take you there. Enjoy |
