My mom uses a systemic combination rose food and pesticide that works on sucking insects like aphids and spider mites. Thunbergiensis is the best natural spray for those little worms...systemics don't work on those. You pretty much have to treat roses here with sulfur dust or fungicides for powdery mildew and rust no matter where you live. The best thing is a dormant spray after the hard prune in December or January...something I rarely get done any more as January is my busiest time of year. Somehow, my roses keep plugging along but the years I'm able to do that...they are much more spectacular and healthier. |

Lala: is that a ranunculus?? My neighbor's cymbidiums are in full bloom right now...seems a bit early to both of us...mine are still in bud stage. My white camellia is LOADED with blooms but the rain and wind were a bit hard on them. |

Lala beautiful Ranuncula! My favorite Spring bloom. I'm glad to hear that Hulabird/Debi is feeling a bit better today. Though she's still a pretty ill girl. Lots of positive thoughts and prayers surrounding her.

Been busy today so am very late checking in, but Greetings, Eagle Peeps! Fabulous Northern Update today! :soar: :soar: If you haven't checked it out go there NOW!!!Sending extra to Andi along with a big dose of patience! Sometimes it takes a while for the medication to get all the way through your system - hang in there! Laurie, I was so happy to hear that you are having more good days than bad! Karen - the albino moose (meece? LOL) are precious and the rose looks like one my dad & stepmom had that she called a "Joseph's Coat' because of the many colors. Don't know the proper name but it sure is beautiful. Thanks for the eagle fix too Penny - can't comment on any of the other pictures posted here since I can't see them.... And last but not least, continued thoughts of strength and health for Hula....
