Linda you are a true cookie artiste. That eagle head looks flawless. It's a shame someone is going to eat it ![]() Will there be more for the Ojai event on April 18th?

Yummy Linda! And of course, pretty flower photos as always! One of my favorites of yours was that sunflower you posted some time ago.

Penny, The nest in the transmission tower was near the Holtzwood Dam in Pennsylvania. I don't know how unusual it is for an eagle to build a nest in the tower but we have seen several nests in towers in our area. This particular nest has a fabulous view overlooking the reservoir from one vantage point and also overlooks a large farm area. So they can easily catch fish or go for ground critters. We saw the male retrieve a field critter and bring it back to the nest on Sunday. It is the highest vantage point in the area and they have been there for at least two years. We watched this pair in January on the frozen water fishing with a juvenile.

Sandie that really is unbelievable. How unfortunate you have so much pain and aggravation from your 'slip/fall' accident. Maybe an attorney is the way to go....if you can get one to do it for a portion of the settlement ![]() That place is so toxic for you

Laurie...LOVE the pic of Coleman! He is adorable! Give him a scritch under the chin for me. Lala...that 1st ranunculus pic you posted is beautiful! Looks like slices of nectarine shaped to make a flower yet the top edges look like tissue paper. And the 2nd pic is gorgeous, also! Jill...beautiful suncatcher! Great find! |

![]() Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office? What are we supposed to do, write to them? Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen can look for them while they deliver the mail? |

![]() As income tax time approaches, did you ever notice: When you put the two words 'The' and 'IRS' together, it spells 'THEIRS'? |

Whooper Update: Four members of the Class of 2008 left their pensite at Chassahowitzka today and have begun their migration north. They are: #804, 814, 818 and 819. This must be a bittersweet time for the team as the chicks begin their lives as wild birds. Remaining at the Chassahowitzka site are #803, 824 and 827. The St. Marks group of seven is still there. Bev writes that their behaviour is changing. They have been doing a lot of calling to each other. A cold front is approaching with winds coming from the north. If the birds don't leave in a day or so, before the cold front arrives, they will likely stay awhile longer. One of the tracking team members is following the four birds that have left. Safe journey to all. |

Lala: your cookie looks professionally made...very impressive. Maybe you could go into business selling them! Sandie: I don't do tax returns....just everything up TO that point...thus my self-imposed deadline of this week to get all books completed and to their accountants by the end of this week so there's no excuse for extensions. At least, not because of my doing...the ball is then in THEIR court! There are always ones that go on extension due to reasons beyond my control. I delivered a complicated set of HOA books to their CPA February 3rd and he STILL put them on extension. Go figure. But it hampers me from totally closing books until it's done months from now....job security! |

Cheryl: when the whoopers go...is there one that sort of takes on a position of leadership? Is the calling a discussion to elect the new leader or assert oneself...or is there any information regarding all of this? Or do they just all of a sudden go? |

Great little video George I love it when Zoomer gets that cam in close....here's another one by nbgeagle where you can see that the nest bowl is completely surrounded by big fish....Some guys would give their eye teeth to catch that many in a short period of time
