I'm not using any program because I am on a MAC. There is a built in camera that one can use...it involves pressing 3 keys at once to launch it and then you have to outline the area you want it to take...sometimes after all that, I miss the shot, so I'll just wait until I see something good and let it take that image instead. :D

I would like to do gifs, but that us a whole 'nother kettle of fish  I'm going to need a program for that but I haven't tried to find one yet :P

awesome view from iss to shuttle with earth as background........................

http://space.cweb.nl/article.html?id=642

Peetie - Thanks so much for the shuttle links. I'm afraid I am guilty of taking these launches for granted sometimes and I appreciate you bringing back the excitement! The picture of the shuttle orbiting the earth right now is so beautiful!

I think that is the norm with americans today with any launch! I remember the later gemini and apollo missions when they were broadcast live with a lot of time spent on the mission details pre launch with the likes of walter cronkite and the other deans of tv news of that day and age.

Sadly the only time interest seems to shoot up, pardon the pun, is when something horrible happens. Today it seems like just another launch. Much the same as the launch of a major ocean liner was filmed for the news reels at the theaters they too went by the wayside when our grandparents got bored with those i would surmise

Hi, George. :}^ I can remember the exact time and place when I saw the first man step out on the moon. (Same with hearing of JFK's assassination -- in Germany, watching Marlon Brando in Mutiny on the Bounty). I hear that the next big trip, after the next moon landing, will be on Mars. I must admit that I am glad I won't be around for that one. :(

At the nearby fish processing plant perhaps as quality control/taste testers? rofl

Or as rodent control specialists for the department of public health in the poor neighborhoods to control rodents? rofl
