Andi, that will definitely put a smile on Kay and Dexter's faces!  How sweet, a trunk full of baby Dexters!

All I can see are boxes with Xs in them.

TopaTopa and Lala...Are either of you familiar with the Pratt House, 1330 Foothill Blvd., Ojai. It was designed and built by Greene and Greene. I enjoy watching programs on architecture and last night the program was devoted to Greene and Greene...a number of their homes are in Pasadena but I did not know they did the Pratt House in Ojai. I believe their last home was in Carmel.

I talked to Kay/YakYak a little while ago and her back is still really bothering her - she said to say "Hi" and to thank you peeps for thinking of her but reports of her being at death's door are greatly exaggerated!

awesome view from iss to shuttle with earth as background........................

http://space.cweb.nl/article.html?id=642

Peetie - Thanks so much for the shuttle links. I'm afraid I am guilty of taking these launches for granted sometimes and I appreciate you bringing back the excitement! The picture of the shuttle orbiting the earth right now is so beautiful!

I think that is the norm with americans today with any launch! I remember the later gemini and apollo missions when they were broadcast live with alot of time spent on the mission details pre launch with the likes of walter cronkite and the other deans of tv news of that day and age.

Sadly the only time interest seems to shoot up, pardon the pun, is when something horrible happens. Today it seems like just another launch. Much the same as the launch of a major ocean liner was filmed for the news reels at the theaters they too went by the wayside when our grandparents got bored with those i would surmise
