Anybody going to the Bach Passion concert tomorrow in SB....the "lead" bass singer is Brian, hubby to Andria of Andria's Seafood restaurant at the harbor in Ventura...a favorite Cruzer gathering place after a trip out to Santa Cruz Island. Brian is a great guy and dad to two toddler girls...where DID he find time to learn this concert piece?? Anyway...Sunday, First Presbyterian Church 3pm corner of State St. and Constance. I'm looking forward to relaxing and just listening. Hope some of you can make it.

Hi all. Congratulations on the first two cam hatchings. I have been away and am not able to type much due to a torn tendon on right arm and an unhealed fracture on the left wrist. I will just have to lurk. Thanks, Cumbrians, EagleDuo, Patti, Peppermint, Joanie, Harpo and you others who are the heart and eyes of the forum. I can at least watch while I heal. I can't wait until PH hatches their pair :^: :^: .

Thinking of all of you.

:}^ Sylvia! It's nice to see you here. It's been a long time. Sorry to hear of your medical problems. Hope your recovery is in progress.

Trish, your video this morning of TWO chicks at TH is spectacular! No mistaking the presence of #2.
Was watching them being fed around 4 o'clock today. Boy, for a nine hour old the little one is quite capable of taking care of itself. That's one strong little eagle! Should be interesting watching the two of them as they grow. Of course it would be interesting no matter what their personalities were. Do eagles have personalities? I sure think so!

Hi Sylvia, haven't seen you on the forum in ages. Sorry to hear about the tendon and the fracture. Ouch! Lurking is okay while you're on the mend, but as soon as your back to 100%, come on back! :)^

Lala - Thank you for your kind words - we both enjoyed every minute of the time we had together.
I think both Scouts enjoyed meeting each other - beautiful pic of the two of them.

Jann - Don't know how you managed to stay up till 3am - I was done 2 hours before I usually get to bed - not that I would change a thing - TOO much good food always makes me sleepy.

Peppermint Patti - Concert sounds really great - too close to church time for us and will be missing church next Sunday to get together with Ozzie and Karen - anyone else going?

Skellis - so sorry to hear about your torn tendon and wrist fx - hope all heals up quickly.

Nancy - thanks for sharing such a special video.

Deb & Gary very happy you got to see the Malibu hawk nest.

P'mint, I have plans to meet someone for a walk at Shoreline Park tomorrow afternoon. Too bad, I would have enjoyed seeing the concert with you.

Sheila, I'm going to Yolanda's nest Sunday, but I will be late. We have tickets for the matinee of Mama Mia at the Granada. My plan is to drive to Oxnard directly after the play, making my ETA at Yolanda's somewhere around 5:30. Wish we could have gone together.

Jann, how long did it take you to get home? I think traffic is always bad going south on Sunday afternoon. It sure was great to see you. Thanks to you and Dave for always making the extreme effort. You guys rock!

I'm going to have a bite to eat and call it a night. I'm running on about four hours of sleep myself. The energy from having such a good time last night with the Cruzers is beginning to wear off so I think I will sleep very well tonight!

Skellis! Sooooo good to hear from you! Have been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. Sorry to hear about your injuries. Hopefully the up side is that you'll get to spend more time watching the soon-to-hatch PH chicks! Hope you'll be able to make it to one (or more?) of the upcoming events. I know we'd all love to see you!

Sara, it took about 3 hours to get to my brother's in O.C. to pick up our dog and then another hour to get home from there. The ironic thing is, we skipped going down PCH because we thought it would be super slow being such a beautiful Saturday. Didn't expect the freeway to be that crowded in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Deb & Gary took PCH to LAX and said it wasn't bad at all. Go figure! After we passed LAX, traffic picked up considerably....until we left my brothers and hit the 91 east. That was a gridlock most of the way. We avoided a lot of it with FastTrak, but not all of it. But we made it and will do it again! We always have such a good time, it makes it all worthwhile!

Jann - so sorry you had to battle traffic - you just never know what it's going to be like any time any more.

DH & I went to Ventura today (earned me docent hours) for a presentation of the "California Condor Recovery Program" - the main speaker was Jesse Grantham who is the Recovery Program Coordinator for the USFWS (U. S. Fish and Wildlife) - this is the 1st time they have ever done a presentation - it was great - SB Zoo was also had a table since the new condor exhibit will open April 22 - while there are over 300 National Parks, there are over 500 National Wildlife Refuges - all 50 states have refuges - great thing about the US map they gave out is a handsome bald eagle is on the front. Traffic for us was fine both ways, but it was bumper to bumper with folks still coming into SB and beyond at 12noon and then even slower due to 2 car accident leaving SB about 6pm.
