Hello all Just perused all the wonderful pics...and I do mean WONDERFUL! Can't wait for my tour now! I am just eggcited about seeing all the dolphins on the way over as I am about doing the tour and seeing eagles! Kathie...your pics of the get-together are wonderful, also! Sorry you had such a time getting them on there with dial-up. I can't imagine going back to dial-up again after being on cable for so long  I don't have the patience. But I'm glad you got your pics posted so we could see them. Peetie...Zachary isn't the one with the sword with his name on it. That is Christopher and Anthony, I believe. A light saber like from Star Wars, I think. Ok, I got news last evening about the sandpiper that laid the eggs in the rocks at my aunt's mobile home park that I posted about last week. First of all, it turned out not to be a sandpiper but a plover. And second, she was caught by a hawk and killed That is part of nature but still sad. The residents said the father plover was hanging around still and he was making the most mournful cries looking for her. So the eggs are not going to hatch ![]() ![]() |

Aw, sad story about the plover, Karen. That's a shame to lose the mother and the future chicks. I'm enjoying all the party and tour pictures that have been posted. :soar:

:soar: Hi my fellow Eaglers.....I have had the most fantasic day ever. We went to see our local eagles to see if the babies had fledged yet and my daughter and I walked toward the nest and stood watching to see if they were going to fly and all of a sudden the Momma and Daddy flew into some trees from us and started talking and screetching. So I told my daughter theywere trying to get the babies to fly to them. But nooooooo. They were talking to an immature eagle that was in their territory. Then the air battle began. We just stood and watched in complete amazement. We couldn't believe we were the only 2 people watching this and hearing all the sounds naturally and not on the computer through speakers. We both just cried alittle and thanked God for letting us see that. She is only 10 and in love with the birds like me. Later we saw another aireal attack between 2 immatures and a mature. I got a great picture with all 3 in the shot. We are just in our glory right now. Sorry I wrote so much!!!

Sounds like you and your daughter had an awesome day, Dawn. :soar: I just watched ma and pa Norfolk feeding the triplets. They are wonderful parents making sure all three eaglets are well fed.

Hi Everyone I just wanted to to mention that some people might be interested in watching Extreme Makeover Home edition tonight because they will be giving attention to what happens to cats after they have been declawed and they will be showing a paw repair surgery. I know how people in this forum love the kitties and thought you'd be interested. Thx, Dory |
