momkat you can do 2 things.....leave it or cut it.....both can...

i think cut it right above the new leaf.....

and than wait and see what's happen....

let me know okay ?

Momkat,

I've had two of my orchids do this - produce a new plant. I let mine grow two leaves and two roots, then cut it off and pot it. One made it, one did not. Try it, and good luck. The mother plant will not be harmed, and who knows - you may have another orchid plant.

(First time "quoting", I hope it works.)

Jann and/or Pat,

My co-workers have been asking questions about the TH and WE nests as to their "views". I tried last night, but could not find a more zoomed-out view, showing the proximity of the nests to the water, etc, Can you steer me?
Thanks in advance.

I know, they are pretty noisy little raptors. They are getting really aggressive towards the mom owl, so it won't be long and she won't be able to stand being in there. She's just a source of food at this point.

Thanks for the pic of the Oklahoma chick Carole. Everytime I go to that cam, the parent is sitting on the chick, and I never get to see it! :P
