Bette .... If you go into the Catalina Updates and search through you will find several photos that Steff has taken on various occasions of the areas surrounding the nests ... including the TH and WE nests. For obvious reasons they never pinpoint the actual nests ... but will show a section of the vicinity. I also posted some photos showing the areas on the very first AEATT .. for this season .. for each nest ... on the Getting Serious About Nestorations Stage. Here are the links ... Two Harbors Nest ... and ... West End Nest I know that Lala and I think Karen/SoCal Lady ... have also shared photos taken from the water on various occasions too. Hope this helps. |

Well, I was out to my bank in my nearby supermarket with the camera in tow and these pansies were for sale outside of the entry to the store/bank so i had to shoot them. UNLIKE many here, i have a black thumb so i will shoot the blooms of others. This way i dont have to worry about the horrid WEEDING of any bed that i would have plants in. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Pat, That was where I was looking, but had not checked the "nestorations" thread. I'll do that later tonight. I did not make a note of when Linda/ojailala posted her pictures, but will look for them as time allows. Time is not what I have right now during the heaviest part of tax season. Thanks again. |

this trip was lots of fun for us - it's more like the kind of trip we always take - couple days here and a couple there - keep it moving and fun! we used to be famous for leaving on Thurs nights and flying off to somewhere and back on Sunday nights - 3 day get aways! And of course there always has to be a touch of architecture in each trip and that's OK by me! |

I see Pat already gave you a great answer. I thought you might like to see the hike they take to get to each of these nests. Helmet View of Hike to WEST END NESTTaken via a lipstick video camera attached to sunglasses Hiking Out of TWO HARBORS NEST w/EggsTaken by Steffani last year |

Jann~Thanks so much for the re post of the two hikes to the nests. I can believe, they are not regretting not having to make those 2 extra hikes this year. I really should go back to the gym. I'm outta breath just watching those. |
