Had to go and get my hair done so I left the nests on, told DH I hoped he could give me a little report about what happened while I was gone, if he happened to be near the computer to check out the nests. He did pretty well. :)^

Carole
, welcome home to rainy Ontario. You will be tired from the drive and all the unpacking. Good to have you back. :)

Petra, sleep well. Sounds like Sjimmie is attached to you. That was a good idea to visit with him often at the asylum. He has had a smooth adjustment.

Paula, I watched your squirrel video but was unable to view the two Norfolk ones, possibly because the post was edited??? Would like to see them.

I mentioned a tune by Spike Jones - Clink! Clink! Another Drink with the voice of sylvester the cat and here is an actual video of spike doing the tune with a relatively young mel blanc in it. There will be a fellow with a bow tie on that moves around on his neck. Thats the king of novelty tunes and an idol of Wierd Al Yankovic the late great SPIKE JONES

You Tube-Spike Jones "Clink!" Clink! Another Drink!"

I just felt like sharing :clink:

If you take ANY two digit number, add the total of the digits and then subtract from your orignial number, it will always be a number that is divisible by 9.  The gift for every single number that is divisible by 9 is an oven mitt!  And no, I'm not a math whiz!

Yes this is correct, which

In base 10, a two digit number x you can write down as

x = a * 10 ** 1 + b * 10 ** 0 , 1 <= a <= 9, 0<=b<=9

Whatever a and b you choose, if you add them together and subtract from x you get:

x - ( a + b ) = a * 10 + b - a - b
= 9 * a

So this is indeed always divisible by 9.

Left as an exercise for the reader is to extend this result to any other base (i.e. for a base s > 2, the result is always divisible by (s-1) ) :D
