Jann - Sounds to me like the chick was peeping on the PH nest on your last video of the day/night - what a sweet sound to hear!

I'm sooooo eggs-cited! I could tell yesterday when dad was incubating that it was only a matter of time. He kept getting up and moving things around... I had to leave my computer to go to a Tastefully Simple demonstration. All I was talking about were eagles! At least it helped me not sample too many of the foods, which in turn, helped my bank account! Now off to Nest Observations to catch my first glimpse!!! :^:

Well, i pass out early after watching off and on all day yesterday and PH hatches! Now....i wonder when we will have :^: :^: ? Perhaps he/she will hatch today too so then there wont be too much size difference and bullying by the elder. :X:

Good morning! Lots of early birds online this morning and what egg-citing news we have to wake up to. I had a feeling when I went to bed last night that we had one chick and one egg on PH. So happy to hear it was finally spotted. :^:

Just came back from nest observations and had my first glimpse of the PH chick. Awesome job by all posting captures and video of the hatching. Thank you so much for your time and efforts. Bright sunshine and a gentle breeze blowing at the Norfolk nest this morning. Breakfast is being served. Wish I knew how to get a picture of this.

Hi Peete! :}^ Yes, I'm on the east coast of the states, so, I do get up much earlier than the California crew! :Zz: We have another chick! Yahoo! :^:
Karen,
Where in Pa. are you? I live in the Lehigh Valley area, just outside of Kutztown. Just curious... :P

The sun is also shining on the Blackwater twins who were up ealy this morning awaiting breakfast delivery. New feathers are really statting to come in on the older chick. Sadly, the older chick really bullies the younger one.

Friends of Blackwater posted this picture of the older eaglet showing his blood feather coming in. I have to admit I didn't know they were called blood feathers.
