Well, look at that!  Joanie is quoting herself  rofl  rofl    :D

Every time I started 'messing' with it to remove the extraneous 'stuff', the font size or color would change or leave those tell-tale html 'left-overs' .... I needed to bring it forward in Events as it was lost in all the Casitas postings, AND start its own thread over in Events AND put it here AND on IWS Chat - geesh! one of those "to-do's" that you think you will just dash off and get one with it and winds up taking longer than anticipated  - I finally gave up and quoted the quote of the quote. And I still have to vacuum too and I'm losing my light!
Wish you could join us!

Joanie...my cousins, my sister and I used to go swimming at Huntington Beach when we were teens. Many great memories there :) One not so great one, tho...my cousin, Judy, and I were wading into the water and suddenly I felt this sharp pain in my right thigh about midway. I looked down and there was this surfboard floating around. That was before the days of the tethers they wear. The guy came to claim it (oh he was sooooo cute!!) and asked if I was ok. I said I was so he took his board and went back out. Then my leg gave out and I couldn't walk. My cousin, Kathy's, boyfriend had to come carry me to the blanket and when my sister found out what happened and I pointed out the guy she went down and blasted him a good one  He came up to the blanket and apologized profusely! After that, we packed up to go and the boyfriend had to carry me to the car. I had a bruise that covered the whole side of my leg almost from the knee to the hip! I will never forget that! Oh and the boyfriend was a hottie, too

Trish ...finally found the pic of your mom. She is such a cutie patootie! Love the color of that polish you used! Makes her hands look very feminine. Great pic! And you are such a great daughter to spend so much time with her and get her outside in the sunshine and fresh air. :) Was 80 here in Oceanside today.

I see that one egg is still unhatched for K10 and K26. I saw mom and dad rolling it today. Wow these eagles are so cool to watch. The eaglet that is hatched is so cute.

Trish you might want to find another way to amuse yourself and get rid of those CD's.
rofl  rofl  rofl

Well, I don't have any squirrels, so hanging them in the trees was kind of a waste. I had to do SOMETHING constructive with them!!!

Edit~Not really good for the microwave though.

well i used to take them to the range and suspend the aol cd with fishing twine hung from the target frame and then open fire upon them. They went into wonderful itty bitty pieces that way. Very similar to what some kids did with their bb guns and unwanted baseball cards

This one is for Jillers.  From my recent trip to CA.  A visit to the Dairy Unit at Cal Poly was fun due to the newborn calves.  Here's a cutie for you!

What a sweet face! Thanks Andrea! How fun for you to visit Cal Poly! I haven't been there in a long time.

I just got on the computer after being down in Santa Paula, then Ventura, then Ojai. Then to visit a Model A club member in the hospital here. I have a special picture to post from the Santa Paula airport as soon as I get it loaded, then into photobucket! :P Looks like there is a problem with the SD card from my camera. I hope my work computer will read the card tomorrow. :(

George...not all of the borrowers bit off more than they could chew and lost their homes. Some of them had jobs and could pay for their mortgage but then got laid off/fired/let go for whatever reason. Those are the ones I really feel bad for. (Tho I feel bad for all that lost their homes).

The house I live in now was left to me by my grandma so the house i just bought is the first 1 I ever bought and we bought it with the VA loan as an investment so I know I was never a part of what has happened. I do feel bad though :(

The reason why we used our VA loan is because the government in my honest opinion does so little for the guys in uniform and my hubby served for a long time and so we took the chance they gave us and bought a home. It is really a sweet deal.
