I was just able to watch the video of removal this morning. I am sick to my stomach. Nature is hard sometimes. I'm hoping that we will have another chance with the egg Don't really feel like talking. Have a nice day all. |

Deb - I love what you wrote about our lost eaglets. At least we had a chance to love them even though their lives were too short. Thanks for your kind words.

I was not here to experience the loss of Limuw, but I was certainly sick to hear about Skye and then Gulliver.

Oh, Deb, your words so eloquently remind us of the privilege we've been given to watch the lives of these beautiful creatures unfold. I've always believed that being able to see so intimately the life cycle, the tenderness of the parents, the dangers, the deaths, the triumphs, the joy and sorrow, make us better and more humble people, and certainly better stewards of the earth. You have a special gift for expressing all this. Thank you! Pat |

Sad day yesterday and difficult for all. We have to remember what struggles these birds have from hatching to fledge. It is natures way and perhaps something was wrong right from the start. We still have hope with the other egg and that's what spring holds for all....new beginnings and understanding of all creatures big and small. Hope everyone has a good day and be thankful that we can watch all of these amazing events good and bad before our eyes. I'm especially grateful to IWS and Ventura County Office of Education for allowing us to view these magnificent birds. Gotta dash the car tangled spanner awaits
