Sky and Spirit sitting on the edge (didn't they know that was dangererous?)![]() Sky and Spirit ![]() Nest in center of photo, can still see a baby ![]() Nest is an inch and a half from top, 'about' in the center....dark spot... ![]()

I like the last picture because from the beginning I (and some others) thought it looked like the chicks were riding on a dragon... this picture shows the dragon's head and long neck to the right... Puff, the 'Magic Dragon'.. lived by the sea..... |

Here's an update on my little rescue dove. This morning, I picked him up with both hands and my fingers under his body. His feet grabbed my fingers, and although he hasn't walked around in the cage, his legs and feet feel strong. This morning, I tried to give him water the same way by dipping my finger in the water dish and touching the end of his beak, but he was more active and wouldn't let me do that. So, while holding him, I put him over the water dish so his beak would touch the water. The second time, I saw some swallowing action. The third time, he took a looooong drink! Yeah! Good bird. I have seed on the bottom of the cage where it is easy to reach, but haven't seen him eating as yet. Hoping he eats today. This morning, he is brighter and more alert. It appears he lost his right eye some time ago. He keeps the lid closed and there is no shape of an eye underneath. The other eye is much clearer and alert today as well. Here is a photo I took this morning. You can see how short his body looks with no tail feathers. Poor baby.

Happy Good Friday everyone. So, good our little PH chick is thriving! I hope the Easter Bunny brings him/her a nice little basket of goodies. Actually, all our chicks need a little basket, maybe with some peeps!
