neato canyon view !!! Out of curiosity, do you have or use adobe ps or ps elements for your shots?? I was curious and toyed wiht your shot in ps and ended up with this which seemed to remove some of the blue-ish UV haze to show more details of the canyon's layers

George...There seems to be so much fighting going on in hockey games...brutal slug fests...and the referee (or whatever you call them in hockey) seems to just stand and watch, whereas, in a baseb all game or basketball game the umpire or referee immediately step in and put a quick end to the confrontation. I know nothing about hockey or it's history so maybe the fighting is just part of it. I must say, though, you have some fabulous action shots which I enjoy. Chiquita |

It's not as bad as it used to be. Personally, I think it is just for "Show" now unlike the past. Years ago ,in the mid 70's when i was a more frequent attendee of games the fighting was much more intense to the point of blood upon the ice with long stoppages of play while the ref and linesmen sorted out the penalty minutes as they cleaned the ice with the zamboni machine. This season I had attended 4 games and this was the first game I've attended where there were major penalties assessed. The game has changed since the days of Esposito,Orr,Clarke,Shultz,Dupont, kelly and the Richards that is for sure. That was a different era for sure. Those legends of hockey were fun to see play and i was glad to have beem able to in my younger days |

Yesterday Goose and I made our first trip to Allen’s Camera and Video Shop in Levittown in pursuit of a 400 mm lens. It is probably one of a few genuine camera shops left in our area. They have a lot of items in stock including new and used equipment at a fair market price. He bought a used 400mm lens and we went home and started packing immediately for Norfolk Botanical Garden. The sun was in and out most of the morning and by noon the sky had clouded over. We left the gardens at 4:00 because of the rain. The view of the nest was awesome and we will be going back tomorrow. A whole bunch of cruzers could fit on the deck of the NATO tower. Road trip anyone? ![]() Hope you enjoy the slideshow. http://s658.photobucket.com/albums/uu304/G...mview=slideshow |
