Perhaps it is time for every eagle lover to take stock in his or her daily behavior. We will certainly learn what caused the demise of these beloved chicks, but more importantly, perhaps we can learn how to adapt our lives individually to have less of an impact on the environment, which has an obvious affect on these gracious and regal birds. :soar:

Well Peeps, we just got back from being out of town today and I am very shocked and saddened by the loss of the second eaglet at PH. I hope that B-)) can find out what happened. What a terrible disappointment for everyone. :'( :'( :'( I hope that K10 and K26 will continue to raise up new generations of eagles even though they have had a failure this year.

This whole scenario has reminded me of what has happened in the European stork nests in the past though. Many of the chicks there have died from Aspergillosis which was brought to the nests in the hay the parents were using to line their nests. Nature can be cruel and if this is the reason for the deaths of Windy and Hope, perhaps it is better their parents do not use the nest to lay another egg in this year :boohoo:
