Hi Dr. Sharpe. I wonder if any of the CI eagles are doing the same thing as the Norfolk pair seem to be doing this year. The female has been seen removing partially eaten items and then retreiving other items from another tree to bring back to their nest. It seems like they have some kind of larder for storage away from their nest. These eagles have plenty of fish nearby so there is no shortage of food even though they have triplets again this year. Is this a common occurrence with nesting eagles to keep their nest clean or some kind of an anomaly? |

I've never heard of that and have never seen signs of that on the islands. |
