Insects or Bees on the nest; Detrimental for newborn eaglets?

Dr Sharpe, I was wondering if the PH nest had a bee's nest or an extreme amount of biting insects, would this be a major concern regarding the newborn chicks survival...Seems to be more bugs on the nest this year than last. Thanks in advance to your reply.

Biting insects should affect the adults too, and I haven't seen that. We tend to avoid the nest and haven't been near it since rescuing the chicks last year. I don't think there is a bee's nest there.
