How soon after the failure of a nest and demise of chicks, do parents actually abandon their nest? Days? Weeks? Longer? Cristine |

I think it depends on what stage of reproduction they are in when they fail, and it will vary from pair to pair and territory to territory. It should be less than a couple of weeks, unless they decide to try again. |
